Monomad: Calgary Comic Expo Parade of Wonders 2024

This is a new selection from the last Parade of Wonders, which took place along Stephen Avenue in downtown Calgary. The parade marks the start of the Calgary Comic Expo. It is the largest collection of cosplay you will find at any event in Canada, as it brings together so many different genres of interest for a 45-minute march through the streets.

The fun part is seeing people stop and pose or mug for my camera along the way, I find the event moves so fast I generally will let people pass by then run up a couple of blocks to get another pass. This really helps me expand the amount of quality images I can get and also leads to making more connections, as many like seeing how their cosplays turned out. I am always happy to oblige anyone who wants a copy of something that I captured them in so that they get to show off their costume to their friends and family who couldn't be there.
