Yes, it seems that this town will never stop producing photographs, in fact, I am sure of this.... So it seems to me that I too must not stop dedicating a good part of my time to record everything that happens in the spaces of this handful of interwoven streets which seem to conspire to make me do this...

Sí, parece que este pueblo nunca parará de producir fotografías, de hecho, estoy seguro de esto... Así que me parece que yo tampoco debo parar de dedicar buena parte de mi tiempo a registrar todo lo que sucede en los espacios de este puñado de calles entretejidas las cuales parecen conspirar para que yo haga esto...

These are pictures taken during the first two weeks of June, so they are quite new... I've been looking through my archives and it makes me feel happy to find a lot of pictures which I didn't remember having taken. In many of these photos there are small stories of the town, in others there is an implicit message, others are simply a reflection of the diaphanous daily life that builds these streets oscillating between sadness and happiness...

Estas son fotografías hechas durante la primera quincena de este mes de Junio, así que son fotos bastante nuevas... Me dedico a buscar en mis archivos y me hace sentir feliz encontrar un montón de fotos las cuales no recordaba haber hecho. En muchas de estas fotos hay pequeñas historias del pueblo, en otras hay un mensaje implícito, otras son simplemente un reflejo de la cotidianidad diáfana que construye estas calles oscilantes entre tristezas y alegrías...

This is a town where you can walk down a street in silence and photograph the windshield of an old truck, but a couple of streets ahead you may find dogs coming out of houses to greet you, or have the opportunity to take a portrait of an old childhood friend while he lists memories from almost half a century ago... And at the same time, when you turn and look back, another friend may be riding along on horseback shouting your name out loud in greeting... Of course, one can also find a handful of sadnesses here and there, but even they have some charm when they are confronted with the stoic equanimity of those who love a little poem happening in front of them...

Este es un pueblo donde puedes recorrer una calle en silencio y fotografiar el parabrisas de un viejo camión, pero un par de calles más adelante puedes encontrar perro que salen de las casas a saludarte, o tener la oportunidad de hacerle un retrato a un viejo amigo de la infancia mientras este enumera recuerdos de casi medio siglo atrás... Y al mismo tiempo, cuando giras y ves hacia atrás, puede que un otro amigo vaya a caballo gritando tu nombre en voz alta a manera de saludo... Por supuesto, también uno puede encontrar un puñado de tristezas aquí y allá, pero incluso ellas tienen su encanto cuando se les enfrenta con la estoica ecuanimidad de quienes aman un pequeño poema sucediendo ante ellos...

_{ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape v3.7}
