The Story Behind the Old Facades//MONOMAD CHALLENGE

Good day and good Sunday dear friends in the Black And White Community 🙌📸

Every stone facade in Kraljevica, narrow staircase or deep windows of old houses have their own story. Several generations lived in these houses, and their families were engaged in fishing, seafaring, trade or farming – exactly what shaped life on the northern Adriatic for centuries. I can almost imagine images of such families from ancient times, looking at the old facade. Walking along such streets today is not just a visual experience – it is a journey through time, through periods when people sang here, traded salt, built ships and created communities by the sea. And yes, I can almost imagine such images from ancient times.

Let's take a look together at what I'm writing about, maybe these photos will help you imagine such images from ancient times, but first

It’s as if everything were in a long and endless wait… That shot of the chair and the bottle totally grabbed me!

Thank you very much dear @naitreart, I also heard the story about that chair. Namely, a man lives in that house who has nowhere to live and the city gave him this old and neglected house. In the season, when everything is bustling with tourists, he sits on the chair, drinks his beer and watches. You could say that he is the guardian of this part of the town.

Dear Gordana, 🤔 there’s been a slight mix‑up here, haha… No worries.

There’s always a yarn behind everything, even if it’s the one we’re spinning ourselves. I say that because I made up my own story about that chair.

You see, my dear friend, all of us who love photography have different views on it. I have a friend with whom I take photos often. And we never, ever have the same photos, even though we take the same shots. We always comment on our different angles of shooting, our different cropping when editing, and ultimately, our different filters, because each one has its own factor 😉
