Highlights on Laling's Nursery graudation

last June 28th, just this year, My second born graduated from Nursery and I took a leave of absence to attend to her special day.

Two weeks before that, my husband, upon the advice of my daughter's teacher rented a toga for kids for 300 pesos but the tailor said that he will be able to get half the price back if he returns the toga. They made it this way because there were many instances that the togas were not returned back to them.

On the day of her graduation, we all woke up early; the program will start at 8 in the morning and we all prepared as soon as 6 am. I made sure that the kids will eat, so thattehy will not ask for anything to eat at the graduation venue.

Czak was sent to Nanay's house and it pains me; I wanted him to be present but my husband insisted and said we could not concentrate on the event if I keep chasing Czak around.

We arrived at the barangay-covered court early, my husband brought the chair we borrowed from my sister and while waiting for the event to start, we stood by, avoiding the cruel heat of the sun. We watched the parents prepare the kids, some complained that the toga is too lose and some said its too tight while some put on makeup on their kid's faces. My daughter wanted to, but sadly I only owned a lipstick so we put some on.

Aelie didn't have a class that day, it was Eid'l Adha so she's there to support her sister.

we took our chance to take a photo of the tarp that the photographers made for the event. A photo is worth 60 pesos per piece and we asked him to take two, one for the graduate and one for them both.

I really love how sharp and awesome this picture was, nad it made my wish relive again, I wanted to have a DSLR camera, but I know it's not my priority, and it's just me being envious.

It took a while before the visitors came and the children got bored on their seats.

The program finally started and for the entrance, a parent must walk the child up on the stage and let them bow before they proceed to their respective seats.

Visitor's acknowledgment, speech, and the confirmation followed, and the kids are again accompanied by their parents to the stage to receive their diplomas. It was a fun thing to do and my husband made me do it since he had been bringing Laling to school since the start of class.
I took a photo of the parents lining up towards the stage. The motehrs are mostly in dresses while I wore my casual attire.

Before the program ended, I asked my husband if I could take a walk around and take pictures and he said yes.

The sun was slowly moving up high in the sky and it was getting hotter every second.

Then I saw this child carrying a chocolate bouquet. There were merchants putting up tables outside the court to sell their goodies and this is one of the products.

There are garlands and corsages for sale too.

Honestly, a few weeks ago, I made a crochet garland. I made several of it to give to my husband's boxers, but the day before laling's graduation, my husband said we don't need them anymore. I was excited to give it to my daughter but he insisted so I can't do anything.

Too bad. Anyway, moving on, I saw this pregnant woman buying coolers in the stall. Ooh, I remembered how hard it is to be pregnant and this sight made me shiver.

The balloon man also took advantage of the event. He knew well that the kids can't be resisted by the parents if they will ask them to buy one. Luckily my kids prefer to buy food that balloon, lols.

Lastly, the candy man was in position too. He displayed cotton candies in many colors luring the kids to buy one his work of art.

Way back in pre-pandemic, the price of this cotton candy is just 5 pesos but now they sell it for 15. There was even a candy man on who sold it for 20 and it was way too overpriced. It would have been better if flavors are added to the candy too.

My kids bought cotton candies in several colors but they all taste the same; sugar. haha!

While Laling was waiting for the program to finish, she went to where we stayed and asked me to buy her ** ice candy** but she really meant cotton candy. I asked her to wait for a while, and she patiently waited until the program is over.

The program took over two hours, enough for the kids to get bored, haha. after my kids had their cotton candies, we proceeded to Nanay's house which is just a few meters away. I looked for my son and she said he was with a cousin, and I kept looking for him only to see him near the barangay hall. He was very happy to see me and so I bought him and his cousin cotton candies and we went home after.

I was very happy to have attended Laling's graduation ceremony, it is once in a lifetime opportunity, and Laling's first graduation though it would have been better if Czak was with us there. But I know Czak will have his time and I will be all out in support of him too.

This will be all for now, thank you for your time and support. Take care and see you around.
