The Rose and the Worm (Photography + Story Time)

In the morning, my family (parents and furbabies) and I usually go out in the front yard or the garden to get some sun after breakfast. It has become a habit, and I genuinely enjoy this moment.

During two separate occasions, when we were in the middle of this routine, I found myself taking photos of some interesting stuff.

While playing with our furbabies in the front yard yesterday morning, I couldn't help but capture some shots of the roses. This particular rose looks so pretty, so I took multiple photos. I think I'll use this as a reference for a sketch someday. :)

Not only the roses on this side, but also the ones in the garden at the side of our house and outside the fence are blooming. They look extra pretty during the rainy season. :)

Then, earlier this morning. My mom and I were checking around the garden because we're planning to plant some veggies again, when I saw this tiny little fella munching on our kalamansi plant.

I find it kind of cute, so I took some photos of it before I took it out and threw it outside the fence, where it could munch on some of the weeds outside instead.

Actually, I also found another, much smaller one hiding under one of the leaves as I was inspecting it, so I had to take it out and reunite it with its friend. Hahaha I couldn't take a photo though because I still had some preparation to do for my morning classes.

I can't wait to see vegetables grow in our garden again soon. My mom would be the one to give updates on it, but I'll enjoy some photography sessions with them soon. :)

Anyway, I'll end it here. I have earlier classes on weekends, so I want to sleep soon. :) Thanks for checking this post out! See you around! (^^,)/

Beautiful roses, very suitable to have because they can decorate the yard.

I love roses. They're beautiful and fragrant, and they make our front yard garden look so vibrant... Oh my, that little caterpillar is munching on the kalamansi leaves and getting so plump!😀

It's nice that you find beauty in those little moments, roses blooming, tiny worms exploring the kalamansi plant, and all the garden life waking up.🤗

Hi, @tegoshei. It's been a while. Did you know that calamansi leaves are a favorite snack for caterpillars? Surely, you wonder or are taken aback when you notice your calamansi plant missing its luscious leaves—but don’t worry, this little muncher is working on something magical. 😊

After some time, you’ll spot a cocoon nestled among the branches, prepare to be dazzled as a magnificent butterfly emerges! This little muncher, when it removes its veil, will be flitting gracefully from flower to flower, sipping nectar and bringing life to your garden.

You will be amazed that what may seem like a pesky caterpillar at first is the beginning of a beautiful transformation, adding to the enchanting view of your outdoor oasis that will bring you happiness. Nature truly has a way of surprising us! 🌼🦋
