March Afternoon Grocery Day!
Another month means another trip to the grocery. Yay!
I was supposed to do my groceries on the day I went to the beach. Yup, I decided to go out with Leann that day and moved my grocery shopping the next.
Next day came and I've finally dragged myself out of the house after convincing myself several times to do the groceries that day. It was already late afternoon and since it was a Sunday, I was expecting more crowd in the mall.
My expectation was right, there were more people on Sunday afternoon. Push carts have even ran out. I was worried if I can do my groceries that day. Lol. I first paid our bills and went next to the drugstore. I went back to the push cart area and saw very few parked at the corner. So, let the shopping begin!
Back when I was with my mama, we would do the groceries per category. It helps not to miss any items and you can properly arranged them in your cart. Now that I'm alone, I just begin at the nearest aisle and to the next until I've passed through all the aisles. The last items I get are the fresh produce and frozen foods so they aren't melted when I reach home.
That on the photo above was the chocolate aisle. Who doesn't love chocolates?

Do you know what I'm making based on this photo? Lol.
My cart is usually 50% fresh produce because I'd rather do the shopping in one place. Their prices is almost the same as the wet market anyway. However, I've noticed that vegetables on the wet market are fresher.
It's funny that this string beans was priced 13.13. It reminded me of my mama so I chose it. Also, I was lucky to still get some fillet chicken breast because it usually runs out fast.
And finally lining up to the cashier. The long lines were already gone when I arrived. One of the baggers was kind enough to offer assitance to push my cart and put my groceries into the vehicle. I can do it myself but I wouldn't mind a little help sometimes.
Surprisingly, it only took me an hour to do my groceries this time and was able to return home before the skies got dark. Congrats to me! I'm also glad that I was able to purchase all the items on my list this time!
Mission accomplished!
Thanks for reading! 💚
Like you, grocery shopping has been our kind of bonding moment with my Mama😔 I missed her a lot. She's good at making lists and was very organized, while I'm the opposite. Your post gives such a relieving moment. Thank you for this!
Moms are really good when it comes to grocery shopping. Yes they are very organized even on arranging the items in the cart and know the best alternatives to lessen the expenses. All we can do now is relive and speak about them so their existence wouldn't be forgotten. Hugs.🤗🤗🤗
Hi, Thank you for the vote❣️
My memory of my mother when going to the grocery was at the local delicacy section. She used to buy different delicacies, and give to our relatives or just eat at home.
I enjoy going grocery shopping. If I had much money, I would enjoy it more😅 Your way of picking the items first up to the last ones is also similar to my style. More carts to fill next grocery shopping day!
Your mom has a generous heart 🩷 Likewise! Hehe Having not to worry of the price is the goal. 😊
Sending Love and Ecency Curation Vote!

Supermarket shopping is one of my favorite activities. Because aside from the supermarket taking away my money (hahahaha) I go home exhausted after the mindful slow walk😂 and I can refill stocks in my pantry again. Slow walk because I need to look for the items I need and avoiding to bump other shoppers. Exhausted because I go around in each corner checking out some items if I need to buy it or not. After checking out, I ended up hungry. I realized it, then I shop after my full meal at home, hahahaha. This is my grocery shopping diary😂😂
