My First Hive Post: Reunion After a Year- Cherishing Friendship and Making Memories
Hello, Hivers! It's me again, @sheiladoliente23. I hope you're doing well. It's my first hive post and it's a pleasure to share my experience of reuniting, chatting, and eating our favorite local foods with my friends. I hope you are well and have already hung out or reunited with your friends today!

It’s been a year since I last reunited with my friends because of our busy schedules. But now, we’re together again, sharing experiences, having simple conversations, and laughing. Reconnecting with them feels like no time has passed, reminding me how important it is to make time for the people we care about. These moments of joy and togetherness show how strong our bond is and how much happiness our friendships bring to our lives.
Of course, when there's a reunion, there’s always food. This is everyone’s favorite part. We went to our friend’s rest house to gather and share a meal with my friends. First, we prepared the dishes we were going to cook, which included fish, pork, and squid that we planned to grill.
The food is ready, and it looks amazing! We have grilled fish, squid, and pork, along with "kinilaw na isda" (Fish ceviche). Kinilaw is a popular Filipino dish made with raw fish that's marinated in vinegar and mixed with a variety of spices, onions, and sometimes vegetables like cucumber or chili. We also had a "budol fight", which is a fun Filipino tradition where food is served on a big banana leaf, and everyone eats together using their hands. It's a common way to eat in the Philippines, especially in the provinces. The meal was incredibly tasty, and it was even more enjoyable because we got to share it with friends. We laughed, talked, and made great memories while eating together such a wonderful experience!
Of course, one of our favorite dishes with friends is "Bisaya na tinolang manok". It’s a Filipino native chicken soup made with chicken, ginger, and vegetables like papaya or chayote. The soup tastes so good—sweet and refreshing and it’s really comforting to eat. It’s the perfect dish to share with friends, bringing everyone together!

Reunions are always the happiest time spent with friends and it's really fun when preparing your own foods and the conversation started with laughter's and reminiscing moments occur. I love the place you stay it's relaxing and the foods are all delicious.

It's more fun to have a reunion with friends and going to other places just to have a reunion. I missed my high school friends and I love to have a reunion with them again,.

Seeing your reunion post made me miss my friends! It looked so fun! We used to do the same, even without fancy food. We still played childhood games like "tsinelas patid" and "bato lata" even as adults. I really miss those days!

When i see your post i remember my elementary and high school friends were very happy during that time, yesterday was a memory of all the people who had been with us. I like Reunion it is a great day for us especially when our friends or relatives live far in our place.

I truly hope for that too. Our schedules don't match and as we get older, we tend to have more priorities. It is even harder to have a reunion with close high school friends due to distance and location.

Lovely photos! Family day is indeed a fun day. Since we're always busy with our careers and life's responsibilities, we should spend quality time bonding with our family on the weekends. I miss this kind of family gathering; we haven't had a family reunion in the past few years, and I hope we will have one this year.
Looking at the food photos, makes me hungry, especially the Kinilaw and Tinolang Manok. Those are my favorites. Bisayang Tinolang Manok? I haven’t tried that one, but I’m pretty sure it’s as delicious as the traditional preparation of Tinola.
Welcome to the hive, the family bonding is the most important thing the memories is never be forgotten, this is the Philipino culture that really I always looking forward when I got home, a simple get together but a quality bond is the best of all the price in the world.
