Monday - A bird

Good Morning, all my wonderful friends. It is the middle of the month, and we are heading into the year 2026. Then, 4 more years after that, it's going to be the year 2030. This year would feel just as close to 2020 as this year feels to.

Anyway, how was your weekend?

When I woke up, I saw this bird at my gate. I think maybe because I have an aquarium nearby. Do you know what bird that is? I am thinking that it could be a stork?

In the afternoon, I went to the nearby park (10 minutes' drive) and enjoyed the evening. The sunset during this time is usually the best. The weather is also not that hot as it would be.

The beautiful evening sun. The good thing about this park is that there are lots of trees here, and you feel as though you're in a forest, but it's a park with some pavement. The grass here is well trimmed. Around and about, some of the elderly come here to do their exercises.

The trees here are somehow quite well arranged. This is one of the only parks here in Miri where the trees are all arranged in rows. They seem to be well-behaved.

After that, it was time to get some dinner. Went to eat here at this stall. It's a stall that serves delicious Char Kueh Tiaw. The price of the food here is quite affordable, too.

With lots of fire, the Kueh Tiaw is ready and served hot. Yummy. The wok is usually preheated to a high temperature. That is the chef. He is so skillful and he usually only spends a couple of minutes frying the noodles.

A delicious plate of noodles is ready. Flat rice noodles fried with egg and some clams.

Thank you very much for reading this post. Currently, I've seen the news that Thailand and Cambodia are having conflicts at their borders. Hopefully, the war does not spread to Malaysia, which is near Thailand.

A couple of months ago, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, with the help of US President Donald Trump, held a peace talk and Thailand and Cambodia decided to have a ceasefire but at the moment, it seems that the Thai general does not really want to follow what's in the agreement. Too many wars around the world at the moment.
