Dinner at a famous porridge restaurant
The best thing to do in Hong Kong is to hunt for local food that is different from Malaysia. But a lot of the food here seems to be similar to what is being offered in Malaysia. I think a lot of Chinese food from Malaysia has some inspiration from Hong Kong.
After a bit of rest, it was time to walk to a nearby restaurant that is quite famous in Hong Kong.
This place serves good porridge as well as noodles.
A photo first of that walk down the streets.
This place is around 15 minutes from where we were staying. So, since it is a cold night, we did a bit of walking to warm ourselves a bit.

After around 15 minutes of walking, we were here at the restaurant. We waited a bit before being able to sit inside the restaurant.

On a cold day, hot food is never wrong. Something hot to warm the belly. Especially something with soup.
The wanton and noodle dish

This is the address of the restaurant. Located somewhere in Jordan, which is around a 15-minute walk from Yau Ma Tei.
The savory-looking Wan Ton. Meat wrapped inside of wan ton skin. This is best eaten when it is hot.

Our bill.
We ordered four dishes and the cost was 162 HKD or around 82 MYR or USD 22.

A plate of noodles. This taste a bit like spagetti with the tomato sauce.

On a cold night, the soup helps a lot. The best combination. We still have another three bowls to go.
We also ordered the fried dough that is wrapped with wanton skin. The skin is chewy and springy.
Delicious.

My wife ordered their famous porridge. This is a must in this restaurant. This dish is quite famous here in Hong Kong.

Some of the meats inside the bowl of porridge.

Finally, a bowl of their famous wonton.
Here in Hong Kong, everyone sits next to anyone. If it's a table for four, you get to share that table with strangers.

I've never shared a table in Malaysia. The restaurant serves food at a highly fast speed.
The whole shop is not big but quite cosy. You have to be quick when your ordering food. The speed of things is at its fastest.

After eating such a scrumptious meal, it was time to head out to have a short walk around the city.

This is one of the Neon Signs that I saw here in Hong Kong. There are not many these days, sadly.
So, if I see one, it's a photograph.
