My home garden #2 : Winged beans and food with winged beans.
Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family. In this post, I'm take everyone to see a vegetable in my small home garden. The vegetable in this post is winged bean. I first planted winged bean many years ago and it was not a success that time. So I haven't grown winged bean in my home garden for many years. At mid May, my wife's aunt gave me winged bean seeds. So I planted winged bean in my home garden again. This time it worked. We have winged beans for our family to eat. Winged bean plants nice grow. And there are many winged beans. My wife has harvested them for cooking three times already.
These are some winged beans in my home garden. Them is close to zucchini and bitter melon.

Winged beans are another delicious vegetable. In Thailand (my country), winged beans can be used as an ingredient in Papaya salad (Som Tam), Spicy minced pork salad (Larb Moo) or other meat, Fish or pork cakes, It is a side dish eaten with various chili pastes. And it can be eaten fresh with rice too.
My wife harvests winged beans in the home garden for cooking. The first time she made som tam using winged beans as an ingredient. But I didn't take photos.
The second time she made spicy minced pork salad and used winged beans as an ingredient too. And I have shared spicy minced pork salad recipe in my old post.

And last time she made a pork cake. Most pork cakes use yardlong beans as an ingredient. But this time, she used winged beans as an ingredient.

Although the dishes I tell everyone about most of them use yardlong beans. But I think the winged beans in these dishes are also delicious. wow i miss this! in our place we call it carabansus, this is delicious added to vegetable soup. however stocks is very limited. in our community only one house has a plant of it.
