Gathering Firewood From Cut Branches And Twigs Of Tugas Tree In Front Of Our House

Good day hivers. Yesterday is a good sunny day. After a straight one week of rain finally I can chop the firewood. Last month when my brother came to our house for a month vacation he was able to rent a service for cutting the long twigs and branches of the Tugas tree in front of our house. Actually when I arrived here at home it's already dry but there's a non stop rain for about a week so I can't make it.

This is the tree I'm talking about. It's quite very tall. This tree is somewhat like 20 years old. We don't have a plan to cut it down because it helps us having firewood for a month, it helps us shields our house from strong winds because our front house is a big river.

I started my day with a coffee. My wife makes it for me and I ask her to sit near to me so I can have someone to talk to because this is a long work ahead.

After a cup of coffee I started to chop the twigs and branches. This kidney of wood is very light and it's easy to break and it does not news any extra force. I just need to cut it into desired length so it's easy to cook when the firewood is well prepared.

After two hours straight of chopping and talking we never knew it was a lot but we stopped because it's so hot. After I chop we then filed it like what's in the picture so it's easy to dry under the heat of the sun.

Then it was already 4 pm that I started to chop again but my wife is still asleep with the kids. I didn't bother her to wake up but waiting for her to wake up and she wake up at 6 pm already. She made me a coffee and I continue chopping the woods. I think this wood will last up to 2-3 months of cooking. I will be staying here for 20 days only so my gay brother is so lucky I had prepared him a lot of wood.
Thats all about my blog in making the firewood. Thanks for reading everyone.

This is actually a lot. Base on my estimation like the previous time. It would last up to 2-3 months

We use woods also for cooking and it is nice to use it it makes the food tasty and less spend for money when using a stove.

You are right. It's way faster too. But it's difficult when it comes to rainy season
