One Errand at a Time: Quick Ride to The City for License Renewal
Some days are dull, and some are made for running errands. As adults, we need to comply with having valid identification cards, which we have been working on lately. We are already done with the National ID (Philippines) and some of the mandatories (Pag-Ibig, PhilHealth, and SSS). Now, it's time to process the Driver's License.
We could only process it through the Land Transportation Office (LTO) and chose to do it in the city. The ride would take us an hour, so we prepared early. While we were on the way, we finally witnessed another incredible scene. The mountains and the beach said hello as we looked through the bus window.
We arrived at the city terminal around 8:30 in the morning and rode a jeepney to the office. It was a sunny day, and since we were in a bustling city, we felt the extreme heat. When we got to LTO, a staff member immediately assisted us with the process and handed over the forms to be filled out.
It was for my partner's driver's license first, so I just stayed in the waiting area. Of course, I was feeling a bit irritated due to the weather, but I had to wait still.
It took us about 2 hours to settle everything, from the biometrics to the photo capture. However, the staff said that the ID card would only be available around 1:00 in the afternoon. Since it was still 11:00 AM, we decided to go to the nearest mall first and eat some lunch. It was just within walking distance.
In about 10 minutes, we went to our favorite fast-food restaurant, Mang Inasal. My partner and I are both "rice is life," so we enjoy eating in restaurants offering unlimited rice. We just ordered our favorite grilled chicken, which was served immediately after 10 minutes.
We were so hungry that we started eating right away when everything we ordered was served on our table. We even requested some soup and service water. After eating, we sat at our table for about 20 more minutes until we decided to walk again to LTO.
We were there on time, and the staff was already calling out names to claim the license ID card. When my partner's name was already called through a microphone, I felt relieved because it meant we would return home. We headed towards the city terminal again and waited for a bus going to our town, and it came just a minute.
Before hopping on the bus, I bought some snacks for both of us. It will take us another hour to travel, so we need something to eat on the bus to ease our boredom. I got us some donuts and coconut milkshakes.
While we were on our way home, we saw the view of the beach and mountain once again. This time, it felt like we were waving goodbye. It will take months before we see the city view again.
Indeed, it was a busy day for both of us, but we were thankful that we got to do this errand of renewing a driver's license. Next time, we will process our passports, and that will be another story to tell.

As adult it is essential to get those mandatory government membership such as the (sss, pag-ibig and philhealth) because those membership will help us in the future, like retirement, sickness, maternity, etc.
In addition, when applying job it is needed also.
After a day of errands, a meal at Mang Inasal is truly comforting and feels like a well-deserved reward. Sulit ang unli rice sa daming gutom😆

I enjoy bus rides especially when passing scenic views or landscapes. I can relate with these experiences; getting the ID's or renewing the license, etc., you really have to be at the office early so your day is maximized. Thankfully, Mang Inasal is always there to provide us with filling meals, we can always depend on Mang Inasal heheh... Your goal at LTO on that day was achieved.
