Let's go for a walk. Week#143

It's already February, and one month was gone from the year😬. Greetings everyone. I hope you're all doing great. We plan to visit the flower dome in the gardens by the bay. We haven't been there before and just seen it in my newsfeed shared by some friends who went there. One friend suggests to go there and said the ticket is cheap, only 12$, in Singapore. After we alighted from MRT, we walked the way heading to Flower Dome ( it's far and maybe a 15-minute walk). The sun is shining bright, but we don't care about it, thinking that inside that attraction is fully air conditioned😌. But Of course I take out my umbrella to shed myself from the sun.

We didn't feel the distance as we talked and teased each other until we reached our destination.

We saw there's a long queue for admission tickets. My friend queued to buy a ticket for us, and when it was her turn, we learned that only on weekdays is the ticket priced at 12$! During the weekends and public holidays, it goes up to 36$.

We are sad to hear that. We were not prepared and willing to spend that amount for that day. We left the queue and decided to postpone our plan because of the price.
Since we are there we just explore it's beauty outside where we don't need to pay for the ticket.

This magnificent charging bull symbolizes strength in their economy. The sculpture is a bronze cast by American sculptor Walter Mania, and the one written above from Italy.

This golden garden that I'm trying to find the gold😂. It's the lovely palm trees that give the color of gold when some of the leaves turn yellow. Or the sun's reflection on its leaves. Either way, I didn't find the gold.

We also pass through the children's garden. We just peek through and see children playing accompanied by their guardians.

I guess we're not allowed there because we don't have children with us.

We were disappointed that our plan did not go well. Are we supposed to take off on weekdays just for a cheaper ticket?😁.
After walking far more, we landed at Starbucks to get some ice-cold coffee to beat the heat.

After sipping our coffee I again try to capture a nice spot around the area. I think visiting this place at night is more worthwhile than daytime primarily because of the spectacular lights and sound show.

It transforms this place at night into a captivating world of light that we shouldn't miss.

But we cannot take off on weekdays unless there's a a valid reason and much more on staying late at night.

After this, even though our plan didn't go as we wanted it to, we were still able to enjoy this walk and appreciate those beautiful creations.

Wow triple price that is ridiculous !!! And look how long someone's hair is getting!

Starbucks though! Do you know I have still never had anything from them 🤣

You should try their coffee. Is tastes good😌. I don't know why they doubled the price on the weekend when there were more tourists coming.😤

Tripled the price, but that is it, make you pay more. Ah Starbucks, I would rather support a local coffee shop.

Maybe next time😤. There are more coffee shops there I think that offer better coffee😌.

A pleasant view of somethings were still had despite not buying the weekend hike entrance fee. Sure what lies on the inside might be better but you made the best of the situation.You got some good exercise and got to spend it with friends :)

It wouldn't be as fun as well but what do I know I explore things by myself all the time. Nah you wouldn't get lost well I think so, hehe.

I here you I often struggle finding my car after shopping at the market. Thankfull for a fob that I can click and hear my horn 🤣

Wonderful place to walk with many large trees to shade you from the sun, sometimes the prices are not justified changing so much from a weekday to weekend.

Still a wonderful place to visit, thanks for sharing and taking us along with you.

The place is great this month is feb ibig this place is suit in dating and relaxing with loveones and also the starbucks coffe is my favorite and the ticket is cheap it so affordable

It's just sad that our off days fall on weekend😅. Even cinemas and theater always cheaper on weekdays. We just roam around without paying those expensive tickets😁.

This is great because there is a café specifically for children. I believe the food there is mostly liked by kids. It's also interesting because you can bring your kids, or if you have a younger sibling, you can bring them along as well.

Wow nice place! It's true, you can't notice how far you've gone when you are walking with your friends 😆.Though you didn't proceed inside still appreciated the beauty of nature outside the gardens by the bay without spending a cent😀 Have😍 a nice day

Ehhh, laki naman ng tinaas. Sad you couldn't go inside but still, even the view outside is already beautiful. There's a lot to see already. Pero curious tuloy ako sa view inside because if the ticket price.

Weekday tickets are surprisingly affordable, a nice change from the higher weekend prices. It's a great idea to walk and chat – a perfect way to combine a pleasant conversation with some exercise. You're getting a workout in without even realizing it! It's a win-win situation.

Ganda sis sa labas so how much more sa loob. Kung $15 cguro ticket pwede pa no? 3x naman kasi sa regular price. May next time, itaon na lang sa weekday hehe. At least nakapagbonding pa rin kyo ng friends mo.

Thankyou for sharing this, the place looks cool and awesome. I can feel the positive vibes it bring to every person who came to visit. I love how you define the place that turns gold especially when the sun color reflects to the leaves. I also noticed that the place is so clean surely the owner maintained it perfectly.
Hoping to visit this place one day.

Too bad the ticket price was higher than expected, but it’s nice that you still had a good time exploring the area! The golden garden and the charging bull look interesting. Maybe next time, you can plan for a weekday visit to see the Flower Dome.
