This week's featured ASEAN Hiver is a very talented chef, and food is what she mostly shares within our little community. Although she's only recently become quite active in ASEAN Hive, she has been on this blockchain since 2018, long before the Hive that we now know. If I remember correctly, she is a full-time housewife, and this explains why she is able to share dishes with us that look better than anything from a restaurant.
I've read quite a few of her posts but I have never seen much of her family, so I can't say how many kids she has and offer much info about her husband. As a fan of Thai food and someone who lives in Cambodia, I like seeing the difference between Thai and Khmer food, mostly because both countries often have unique versions of the same dish. Khmer food is more savory and simple, while Thai food is the explosion of bold flavors most of us know.
Life in Thailand, although only 24km from my place here in Cambodia, is different in many ways. I enjoy seeing the modern markets in her posts, cars, and recently she even baked brownies in an oven. I don't know anyone with a car or an oven here in Cambodia, but I have seen brownies in Phnom Penh a few times. I could almost smell the roasting fudge as I read and scrolled her recipe post.
She's a delegator and frequent poster, so surely most of you know her by now. @piyamas is also engaged in the community, not always longform comments, but by far a healthier level of genuine engagement than the average Hiver. Let's all show her some ASEAN Hive love and gratitude and hopefully we see many more delicious dishes from her in the future.....
