My Version of Homemade Chicken Barbecue in a Pan
Hello Hiveans!!
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend with bountiful blessings!!
Sometimes, we crave for some street food like pork and chicken barbecue, and many more. But buying them outside is very expensive. So, it is much better to cook it personally so we can save and can create or achieve our desired flavor or taste.
I made some yesterday, so let's take a look at how I did it.
Chicken Barbecue in a Pan

INGREDIENTS:

- Chicken thigh
- Garlic
- Lemon
- Ground Pepper
- Paprika
- Soy Sauce
- Ketchup
- Sprite
- Salt
- Sugar
- Knorr liquid seasoning
- Canola Oil
PREPARATION:
Wash and clean the chicken thoroughly. Then, make some slices on both sides and set aside.
Crush and peel the garlic, then cut it into small pieces.
Wash and slice the lemon.
In a bigger bowl, mix ground pepper, paprika, a pinch of salt, sugar, soy sauce, ketchup, and a little Knorr liquid seasoning. Mix all these ingredients very well, and then add the Sprite and lemon juice.

Then, put all the chicken and make sure to coat them all with the sauce mixture. Then add 2 tbsp canola oil, garlic, and some sliced lemon. Set aside for an hour or even overnight.
COOKING TIME:

Put all the chicken and the sauce mixture in a cooker or pot. Bring it to a simmer over low to medium heat. Flip the chicken from time to time. Then remove the sliced lemon and continue cooking until the sauce reduces and the chicken becomes tender.
Turn off the heat and prepare another pan. Much better to use a non-stick pan.
Heat a small amount of canola oil in a pan and quickly fry the chicken at a low heat. Do it on both sides. Then add the remaining sauce. Cook them until it becomes a bit dry.

And... there we have it... It looks so tempting and yummy. It was indeed so yummy that you could not ask or buy barbecue outside.
Again, my family loves the savory taste so much, and they enjoyed eating it, and that makes me super happy.
I hope you like to eat some street food too, like barbecue.
I'll end my post here, and until next time.
Thank you so much for stopping by, and God bless..🙂🙏❤
