"The glory of gardening: hands in the dirt, head in the sun, heart with nature. To nurture a garden is to feed not just the body, but the soul." โ€“ Alfred Austin

How's everyone's garden doing?
It's summer here in my country (The Philippines), but luckily, it isn't that hot. It's sunny and windy.

Lately, I've been spending more time in the garden because my husband bought new plants. We wanted to add more colors to our colorful garden. ๐Ÿ˜Š

He bought different types of roses. ๐ŸŒน
The red and coral.

The red rose has wider petals than the coral. There's one flower as we bought it.
The coral drift rose has smaller petals and has 5 flowers.

My husband also bought a Dianthus plant last week.
Some flowers had already withered, but buds kept sprouting.

The edges are serrated, and the petals are pink with white edges.

Lastly, there is the Calico Aster ๐Ÿ’—
Just like the Dianthus, some of its flowers had withered, but new buds are blooming.
Its flowers are similar to a daisy. The petals are tiny and have a lot of rays.

I love our orchids, but I would love to see new colors in my garden.
These new flowers will surely add more happiness to my day. ๐Ÿ˜Š
I hope they brightened up your day, too. ๐Ÿ’—

Very good editions, I loved the photographs, the color contrast is very perfect.
You have inspired me with this essay, I feel that this is the path of botanical photography, strong contrasts of bright flowers with dark backgrounds.
Greetings from a valley, in Argentina
