With natural intelligence

DSC09752.JPG

Coconut is part of our everyday life - it's considered the most sacred fruit, and we have got four plants, and some of them showed sign of getting sick - ya like us, plants shows symptoms.

DSC09664.JPG

DSC09663.JPG

As you can see, the leaves tell you their health is in alarming condition and a doctor should be called in. So we have a coconut firm nearby, from where I got a contact and I requested him to deal this urgently. I had to first send some advance - ya coconut doctors are in high demand because of scarcity. But they are not committed, failing on couple of occasions and finally they wanted to come on the day, when I took my parents for Doctor consultation. I know we will be in a hurry and I told them to come back later, but they said, they will finish before we go - they work in ultra fast mode. Really ? Ok, as you wish.....

DSC09747.JPG

Morning 8'o clock this guy walks in and says his job is only on the top of the plant - cutting down and putting medicines. There will be another team that will do the ground work - Man, you got a team, huh !!!

DSC09763.JPG

DSC09767.JPG

DSC09771.JPG

Looking at his climbing skill, I was so surprised that I grabbed the camera, to take his shots. By the time I would even focus and click, he would have moved. Within 40 minutes, he finished the treatment of all four plants, cutting down those extra branches, keeping medicine on the top and then ready to leave - hey, can you also cut a banana stem - I would have taken at least 20 mins, he did it in 2 mins climbing the wall like a pro - you got skill man, I gave him 4 bananas in reward. While he was leaving, a thought came in - can robots replace them in future ? May be it's possible, but I don't think, AI can be superior to natural intelligence in these cases ? Only time will tell...

DSC09754.JPG

And there were coconuts everywhere, he did not bother to touch them. After few mins their ground team came in, as we were in a hurry, I did not have time to look after them. They put medicines in the soil, after digging in round shape, and brought all the coconuts to the store room.

20250817_105619.jpg

There are coconuts everywhere to serve our needs for next few months, the only difficulty is peeling them, with only Mom and me having that skill. Someone came in offering to buy them, but they buy in half the price of what we buy from market - better we will do a little hard work peeling them..

DSC09760.JPG

So this skill is at end of service after me - I doubt, our kids will ever do as many things that we are capable of, learning them hard way...

And the coconut team also came with a newer variety of coconut plant which would be fruiting almost near to the ground - I paid them and got planted only one, I will be monitoring it and sharing it's story in another ten years......I am sure, it's going to be fun watching it grow.

Good morning, dear friend @sanjeevm

It's a shame your mom's coconut trees got sick. How great that you found these people who care about the trees' health.

They certainly have a lot of experience doing their job; it seems they did a very good job.

It will be fun to watch the new plant grow, although it will take several years to see its fruits.

Thank you very much, dear friend, for sharing this experience.

Have a beautiful Sunday.

Yes, and the fun is that, you can pick those coconuts by hand - I am waiting for it...

oh yes drones will do this job !
you know a lot of people die every years from getting hit by a coconut on the head !

i used to eat tons of coconuts, but in specific places.
they are not all over the world.

Never thought about it because in our place a coconut never falls on a person - not even heard of it once. Coconut is considered as the most sacred fruit, being offered to God, so we believe, it will never fall on someone.

thats why they cut them early when they are near cities.
yes many deaths ...less and less though, now they cut them to prevent.
but considering the height and the weight of a coconut' it can only be deadly if one falls on one s head.

Indeed we learn everyday, I never knew coconut trees get sick also. I know that people treat their plants in their garden and farms but not a full grown tree. The only thing I have noticed they do around here is cutting down some of the branches

I am scared of climbing such trees but I do enjoy watching people do it effortlessly with just a rope!

Indeed, the aree fast climbers and good at it cause they have mastered it. If I were the one, I would have spend hours figuring out where to put my legs and how to pull up.

I used to climb trees when I was young, now even I climb but with more caution ( age factors in fear), but climbing like them needs special skill.

Oh, cool. Mine is contrary. I really did not used to climb trees that much when I was young. The only tree I used to manage and climb is a mango tree and that's during the time when it is ripped.

That's absolutely right. We have inherited this talent from our previous generation. This makes us realize how smart our previous generations were. Because they have taught us how to do all these obvious things in such an easy way.

The climber seems to be an experience lad. People getbthese naturally. I have seen people climbing trees and wall with much ease because of their physique....but i never heard of coconut doctor. But now understood, every plants take special treatment t for well being and coconut is not different. But do the medicine has any effect on the coconut? Like is it safe using them..?

It's safe, because mostly its organic, except the mite killer placed on top.

Great, a company dedicated to the treatment of coconut plants, I hadn't seen that one, and from what I've seen, they work very quickly. Now all that remains is to see the results of that treatment.

Every person must have been given a different skill by God. They have the skill of climbing a coconut tree and taking care of this tree. For that person, climbing a coconut and plucking a coconut is easy, which is impossible for me and you without any tools. Hopefully, the coconut reaches its place soon. @sanjeevm

Those that don't grow so tall, my friend, are the best variety so we can have the possibility of cutting them down ourselves because otherwise we would have to resort to people who specialize in that work, which is difficult. In addition, right now it has a large quantity of coconuts to enjoy.

My goodness I'm wondering how many years of practice it takes to move that fast up a tree. Also I never knew coconut trees needed special doctors, thanks to reading stuff like this at least I learn something new every day. I hope your trees recover well

Here in my country, dwarf coconut plants are also purchased, especially to decorate the green areas of buildings because they don't grow very large and produce excellent fruit. There are some with yellow or green shells, but yellow ones are more common. I imagine that because it is a tropical climate, the fruits in your country are very similar to those where we live (Venezuela). Well, those people are incredible at climbing those plants, which are very tall, almost without safety.
