The Cactus and Colored Pots

IMG_9642.jpeg

Is there anything else in my garden besides hydroponic vegetables? There is. Everyone who comes to my home is always ask to my hydroponic garden. Indeed, about 70% of the plants are hydroponic, as grow vegetables so quite a few benefits compared to other methods.

If I have to choose, I'd love a hydroponic garden and fruit bearing the trees, but before hydroponics exist, we have a lot of houseplants. You see, i have a lot of houseplants in my house since before, even before I was born.. This is because I still live with my parents. The reason I still live here is because my parents are afraid to be alone without anyone else.

We've kept almost all of my grandmother's and mother's plants. Even these cacti. I recently made a shelf for all the cacti. The leftovers from the previous shelf have to be remove because they were brittle. So.. I cut up some of the leftover metal and wood from the previous shelf and assembled it into this one. It saves you from throwing everything away, and it saves you money, even if it's not very aesthetically pleasing.

All of these cacti started out as two cacti, then somehow my mom cut them off and transplanted them into beautiful pots. Cacti are truly unique, aren't they? Their beauty is at its peak, even though they don't require much maintenance.

Living in a tropical country is indeed advantageous for having cacti and the like. There's more summer than rain, so you don't have to care for them like you do for other houseplants. All of these cacti are outdoors, and many people have already taken them, even buying them.

Is this my first time posting about this cactus? There are many others, but I'm so focused on hydroponics, it's okay to talk about cacti once in a while, right?

I have some at home too, but unfortunately a few got ruined because of the chickens. Still, seeing them reminds me how amazing cacti are strong, and beautiful even when conditions aren’t perfect. Your post really inspired me because it shows that, like these plants, we can survive challenges and still grow.

The chicken flew and landed on my cactus, and it stepped on it, breaking some parts. Good thing there are still some left.

It's nice you have cactus plants, too! Most of the time I noticed you have your hydroponics in your posts. I'm not fond of cactus really. But I have an aunt who really have a great collection of these kind. I only appreciate cactus when I needed it for a dish gardening event, haha. But since then, I started to have my own cactus at the small garden we have. May be I'll be needing them again I won't have to ask them from my aunt.

Wow thats an awesome cacti in an attractive colored pots!
That's true this plant no need some frequent care and attention..
I also used to try planting cactus at home, it just they'd survived without so much my presence but then it died after some months--when typhoon Yolanda hits so much in our place...all of them were washed out and then I'm not trying anymore to plant cactus again.
