Eating Out @Don Dwae Ji Sam Gyeob Sal

Over the weekend, I played pickleball earlier than usual around 5-8pm. Usually, the sessions are late and the only choice left to eat is mamak food. My friends and I finally had a chance to eat something not mamak and decided to go for KBBQ. We found this gem with a super high google review rating nearby.

The restaurant is called Don Dwae Ji Sam Gyeob Sal and they are owned by Koreans. Something I found cool was that even the workers were Koreans. Usually, restaurants try to hire foreigners to reduce costs but this restaurant didn't. I only knew because I asked one of the workers if they were Korean when we were making the payment. Their restaurant is located in Cheras which is a bit far from where I live but happened to be near the pickleball court I played at that day. I liked the decor and seating arrangement; I think they made it quite close to what a KBBQ is like in Korea.

The sides and meat were unlimited. The only sad part was that the drinks weren't unlimited but at least they weren't overpriced. Some KBBQ places give unlimited green tea but this one didn't. For the meat, there was only pork and chicken with a few variations of marination. My favorite was the normal pork belly because it had that perfect balance of meaty and fattiness and the taste was fine without any marination. For the drinks, I had a green tea and water.

The service was great. The workers there were really attentive and even explained where and how to cook the meat because it was our first time at their restaurant. I've never been to Korea but I feel all the dishes are probably as authentic as it gets to Korea since the whole restaurant was ran by Koreans. I enjoyed the food, the place, the service and the experience. Everything was good and I have 0 complaints. I can see why their restaurant has a high rating and they deserve it. I think for a KBBQ all you can eat place this is my new favorite. I give this place hands down a 10/10.
