The Witcher 3 Saga: The Vegelbud's Problem.
Well Hello There Fellow Gamers And Hivers!
In the last episode of The Witcher 3 Saga Geralt took to the stage as an actor. Now this wasn'[t exactly a career changing event for him, in fact he was quite bad at performing on stage. He should rather stick to gutting monsters and men that are monsters.
With that said he had no choice, the idea behind the play was to find Dudu or rather for Dudu to know that there are people out there willing to help and it's more of a both ways game, we needed his help and he needed ours. The one hand washes the other.
Needless to say that we did find Dudu but it resulted in some shedding of blood and that on a stage as well. Finding Dudu led to the rescue of Dandelion otherwise it would not have been. With Dandelion rescued Geralt was on the fast track to finding Ciri.
Honey Is Good!
The day before when Geralt was racing to rescue Dandelion he bolted across some honey farm on the far side of the world.
I thought it good to grab some honey for the journeys ahead. It's something that doesn't spoil easily and it's somewhat of a delicacy and of those Geralt never got much!
The honey really saved him later on!
Radovid's Demands.
Geralt desperately wanted to get on his way to Skellige and continue his search for Ciri on the far side of the world. However he knew that some things can't be left undone and if left undone it will follow him to the ends of the maps!
One of those being Radovid. He was somewhat of a heartless beast and when he wanted something he wanted it as fast as it can be get!
Best not to keep him waiting any longer!
Radovid Had No Liking In What News Geralt Brought Him!
This came as no surprise, Radovid was a man of action and when things didn't go according to plan he simply cut it loose and found a new or different path to take. Fortunately for Geralt royalty had no scaring affect on him. He did what was asked and he needn't do anymore.
Geralt told Radovid that he believed Philippa Eilhart likely died in the fire that ravaged the Elven Lair. This sounded good in itself but Radovid wanted proof and Geralt's word wasn't enough. Thanks to Philippa Eilhart for teaching Radovid not to trust anyone's word.
This might have been a good thing, perhaps Philippa shows her face and if she might I have no doubt that Radovid would be wanting answers from Geralt.
The Vegelbud Problem.
Geralt had to find a servent of the Vegelbud's in the market sqaure. He was fairly easy to identify, he wore a blue tunic and had a bunch of keys on his belt.
To know I or he was speaking to the correct persons I had to ask "Where I would get the best price on trout." An easy enough question to ask to find the right man I was looking for.
They Have Eyes Everywhere!
We barely left the market when we got jumped by some Witch Hunters disguised as bandits, we wouldn't want to populous to know that the Church of The Eternal Fire just randomly murdered innocent people now do we?
The problem is that they keep sending the fodders to deal with the men? Why is that?
At first the servant was sceptical of me because I was not who he was supposed to meet but after we got jumped he seemed a great deal happier that I was with him.
Not long after we got jumped by the thugs did Triss Merigold show up.
After discussing the situation around the bandits the conversation somehow shifted from killing to festivities and parties. How even?
Apparently we were going to a masked event and we needed to get some proper clothing for the night's event at the Vegelbud's residence.
Something that Geralt wasn't particularly fond of. Although it had it's own little upside, on his way to Elihal a friend of Dandelion's to get the perfect outfit for both him and Triss he went past the Rhosemary and Thyme where Zoltan was in some need of persuasion.
Apparently these men aren't happy about Zoltan doing business in their area, but as far as Geralt had it this was "The Free City Of Novigrad."
It didn't take much for them to know that they were overstepping their boundaries when Geralt arrived. Although I doubt that this would be the last both Geralt and Zoltan saw of them. It was only a matter of time.
I'm overly glad I went on foot to find the costumes for the party, because if not I'd never have known that Zoltan needed some help convincing these fools!
Befitting For A Wolf.
There wasn't a better mask out there for Geralt to where and if so what could possibly be better than a wolf's mask?
They arrived at the party sometime after the event had started but this didn't prove to be a problem since they had to play this out carefully since they had no clue as to who is actually who. Except for Lady Vegelbud whom we were told by the guard has a parrot mask.
It shouldn't be too hard to find.
Finding Lady Vegelbud proved to be quite the task, or rather getting to her.
With a party full of drunk and chatty guests it was hard to navigate through the grounds without being pestered. Numerous times we were stopped by some drunken slob thinking that Triss Merigold was their lost lover.
Eventually we managed to speak with Lady Vegelbud. Although it seems we had to go on another search for her son. We at-least knew what mask he wore as well, so finding him wouldn't prove to difficult.
Or so I hope,
Well Albert Vegelbud Surely Enjoyed Himself.
He enjoyed himself so much he completely seemed to forget that he was being hunted by The Witch Hunters.
How does one forget that?
After a seemingly petty game he tried to play he soon realized that this was a serious matter.
However we couldn't just up and walk out because people would of-course notice this right, so we had to wait for most of the guests to get snot nosed drunk and when the fireworks are popping we can make the escape.
After Speaking With Albert Vegelbud There Wasn't Much Else To Do Other Than Enjoying The Evening!
While conversing with Albert Vegelbud and planning the night out, where to meet and how we would make the escape there wasn't much else to do other than sit back relax and enjoy the evening.
We wouldn't miss any opportunity since the fireworks would be our sign to get going out of there.
With that Geralt and Triss took some time to rekindle and well it might have been a little too romantic!
Yennefer wont like this at all!
You Can Smell Their Plans From Miles Away!
Why are they always so predictable? Not once, not twice but always.
Luckily we've planned ahead for this. Geralt swapped out masks with Albert Vegelbud which in a perfect plan would throw them off Albert's trail. This just so happened to be the perfect plan.
With Triss and Albert already on their way to the stables to get the horses ready, I had to deal with this sorry lot!
Fire Is My Game!
Now since I've had to leave my swords at the entrance I have to deal with them the hard way.
Not the hard way for me, but for them!
A hard fist and a hot scorching flame should do the trick with this lot, after all they are children of "The Church Of The Eternal Fire" so let's see how well or how much they like playing with fire.
It would seem their fire god has abandoned them in their time of need!
It Would Seem That Geralt Isn't Part Of The Final Chapter.
Upon arriving at the stables Triss informed Geralt that he was to remain behind at the party, no need for me any further.
I wasn't at all upset by this, this meant I could drink a few more drinks on the house and cherish in the wonderfull snacks they have set out. It would also lessen suspicion around me disappearing from the party. Even with a mask a Witcher can be seen from miles away!

I honestly hate how the game pushes Triss as the "Canon" romance when in reality it's Yennifer. The comics even pretty much confirm it!
Hahaha yeah to be honest I'm not quite fond of it either... I can remember from the first time I played the game. I also like yennefer better as a character.
