The Witcher 3 Saga: The Fore Father's Eve
Well Hello There Fellow Gamers And Hivers.
In the last episode of The Witcher 3 Saga I went on the prowl for some forest beast, as the local folk have been going missing whenever they strayed too deep into the woods. It turned out to be nothing more than a Werewolf. The whole situation was a bit odd to say the least, the Werewolf was the one who slayed his own lover but it was this lover's sister that led her into the woods to be slaughtered by him. She was hoping that she can win his love but at the end of it all he was shocked and not pleased by her doings. I left him be to make his own choices as what to do with her.
She did not make it out of the cave alive, after that he came to me for a mercy killing.
A while back I met up with a Pellar a crazed old man or so it was said, he didn't seem so crazy to me at all. When visiting Keira Metz the Pellar also stopped by to ask a favour of me, odd since witcher's don't really do anything unless there is some coin involved, but that the Pellar understood.
He wanted to conduct a ritual at the hour of the owl and he needed some protection in-case someone or something tried to interrupt the ritual. This was something I can help with of-course, a sharp silver sword can sort out almost any problem.
There I found myself back on Fyke Isle a place I thought I would never return to again, at-least not in such a short span of time.
The Fore Father's Eve, they called it.
At first I didn't think that I'll be of much use there since the island was abandoned after all, of men but not of monsters and I've done quite some clearing of the monsters but usually rituals such as these tend to call those monstery creatures.
Let's see what get spat out for the killing.
I thought that this was going to be a ritual? Not some water dance calling the drowned dead!
Something I never really noticed was that they weren't exactly Drowners they were Drowned Dead. That must be why they hit so incredibly hard, harder than drowners and they were in the presence of a Water Hag which must give them some extra strength I'm sure of it.
I had an advantage though, I pumped my shield, the Quen ability. So whenever I get struck and the shield explodes around me it also give some area of effect damage and that hit those drowned dead really hard.
It was a fight that lasted longer than I thought it would.
While I was busy cutting down the Drowned Dead the ritual went on, after the killing was done a ghostly figure came forward out of the smoke and fire. This figure gave the Pellar a shocked look on his face.
I stepped forward thinking to chase the ghostly apparition away, but the Pellar did not want it chased away.
The ghostly apparition didn't say anything other than "I've come for you patricide" it would seem that the Pellar has some explaining to do. Did he murder his own father.
Shortly after this ghostly apparition appeared when the Witch Hunters revealed themselves, where did they come from? The island was and is completely abandoned?
Must be they saw they great big bonfire across the lake with the chants of the peasant flowing over the still waters. Either that or they were ratted out by some of the folk.
Whatever the case may be they have no place among them, they do not understand the customs of these folk, nor will they ever.
I warned them to leave truely I did but these damned Witch Hunters never listen, why do they never listen. I've put many a man, monster and demons into the rotten ground why would they dare oppose me.
All three of them lunged at me in one go, what they don't know is that I've faced worse odds than three to one, much worse. Before they really knew what was going on I was the one striking the first blow.
They weren't particularly prepared for what was about to be unleashed on them, I went for the one who had the biggest mouth first, he was easy to cut in half and that is exactly what happened. Before his body hit the ground I sent Aard on the next Witch Hunter knocking him straight off his feet plunging backwards to his death, with three precise blows he was cut down as well.
What fools these men are, they think because they can carry a sword they can wield it?
The last of the Witch Hunters well he was the best among them and also the last surviving hunter, perhaps if he stepped in earlier his friends might still be alive.
I'll have to give it to him, I pushed him hard and he parried out every blow I struck.
Until.
Until I pushed him back against a wall where he had no room left to fall back upon and he made a mistake and one mistake is all a man needs to cut down the other.
He lay face down in the mud just like his friends.
Something the Pellar didn't think to mention was that there was not supposed to be human blood spilled on the ritual grounds.
This deemed a problem, the ritual would turn ill and sour now but it had to go on it had to be finished they were in to deep and before we knew it there was wraiths all around us.
The living died and came back as wraith's ready to be cut down again.
When the Pellar saw the wraiths fear overcame him and he screamed for everyone to run for their lives, if they value it. Little did this Pellar know that I have experience killing these creatures summoned from the bellows of hell.
I have to add I don't fancy killing them at all, it's a tedious job but I'm in the thick of it now and I need to do what has to be done.
It's a funny thing, this killing business. Especially when a man who is not a killer kills someone, they tend to live with the shame for the rest of their lives.
It turns out the Pellar did in-fact kill his own father, although he had good reason to do this so I pardoned him for his crimes. I asked him if he buried his father, he did not so I offered to head back out into the swamps owned by the Crones and burn the body of his father.
As soon as I found his body I found a few Rotfiends feasting off the dead. That is the problem with not burying the dead. It only tends to make matters worse.
I realized that this war torn part of the country side is slowly healing by the day, although while riding through it I noticed a lot of dead along with the living lurking around causing trouble.
I'll have to take a day off and start clearing out these bandit groups as well as the dens filled with monsters.
Time to set things right in this lost world.

I played this game a couple of years ago. It's surreal to read about all these adventures which I only half remember.
It's a well built game for sure! I think this is my fourth time doing a replay😂 funny the fourth replay I told myself I'll be diving into the potion side and crafting side of the game... Nah I just keep hacking and slashing my way through everything 😂
