From the Risen Road to Unexpected Scenes Baldur's Gate 3 | Mac's gaming

So here I am back with my Baldur Gate’s 3 update!

It’s about two weeks since I started playing it and I’ve been pretty in love with the game. As someone who doesn’t really understand the mechanics of this type of game, I eventually picked it up faster. So, to all of my girlies out there, if you want to play this game, it’s not overwhelming at all. In fact, just take a few times playing and you’ll easily get the hang of it. I am currently playing solo and multiplayer with my partner and we’ve explored a tiny bit of the areas because we only started. However, in my solo adventure, I already reached The Risen Road and explored a blighted village. Typically, I am spending about an hour or two immersing myself in the game. I swear, it is pretty addicting!

What kind of players are you?

Screenshot 2024-05-27 031105.png

When I am playing the game, that question arises because at first a few times, I was rushing everything and only focused on the main goal. I didn’t really care about getting deep into the characters and exploring my surroundings. I played the game as if there was a ticking time bomb and as if I was limited by time. Truth is, it doesn’t seem to be the case.

At the same time, during a multiplayer game session, my partner and I explored the place. He was a lot more thorough and we unlocked a few characters such as Lae’zel & withers. We also explored a dungeon, sort of and it was slower than I’d like to be but that shows, there are that type of players who take it slow and try to explore every spot in the game.

At the same time, with my solo adventure, I only unlock Astarion & Wyll. My favorite is definitely Astarion, a humanoid half elf. They have been pretty useful and got me far enough to reach the risen road. I mostly play doing the main quests while at the same time, doing some mini side quests when I can. At first time, I didn’t really explore the place but now after doing the multiplayer, I changed the way I played it.

Console vs keyboard...

Baldur's Gate 3 (1920x1080) - (DX11) - (5 + 5 WT) 5_21_2024 4_37_57 PM.png

While it might be a preference, I tried both and I liked the keyboard better than the console. I think with a keyboard it is a lot easier to navigate the place and click stuff around while with the console, it takes quite a while to learn how to navigate it. At the same time, it is much more challenging to access steam chat and stuff while playing the game. So, for this game, keyboard + mouse are definitely most recommended.

Important thing learned...

After playing a while, one of the important things learned is definitely save, save, and save. Sometimes I get too immersed in the game and forget to save and end up starting everything from scratch. It is painful when you have to start from scratch.

Have fun when playing...

Screenshot 2024-05-29 235654.png

One of the things about the game is not only finishing missions but also having fun in between. It’s why I think there are not many guides to show us places or how to defeat stuff because each player chooses their own story & fate. For example, there is this quest called Save Arabella. This quest is all about moral play. It’s either you’re gonna get the child killed or save them from a gruesome death. The outcome is definitely going to affect the course of the game and the people around, so it’s why I think it really depends on what you want to unlock.

My biggest regret so far...

Screenshot 2024-05-29 234945.png

So, one of my biggest regrets is playing the basic character “Shadowheart” in my solo adventure. She is a humanoid high half-elf with two classes, one is a cleric. She has wisdom and a good history , not so much of fighting. However, she is definitely useful for healing other members of the party & that is so far what I found about her.

Interrupting Troll & Bugbear having sex

I was definitely surprised to find this scene does exist and I found them. Basically on the broken bridge, once you reach there go on the right side and fight some wolves then explore further to the right until you find some type of village. Then open one of the barn and voila, a cut scene showing a troll and bugbear having sex.

Spoiler alert!

! [you have to fight them either way.... ] This is the spoiler content.

Or just like you see, offer to join in haha

Then from there, I stopped playing because my two hours were up and my headphones needed a charge. So, overall, this game is totally fun to play either solo or multiplayer. I will post more when I can, especially if I reach certain check points that are interesting or unlock new items, characters or such. That being said, see you in my next gaming update!

Lol in the final part where you mention the troll having sex I got to see it in a video, it was something I didn't expect to happen, but it was also very funny, I never thought this game could have this kind of things.

🤣 apparently there are more scenes like that around. It's funny though but this game has it a lot.

Worthy of the GOTY 2023 game I am sure that if I play it no one will know about me for a whole week XD no one doubts that it is a tremendous game I liked to see many things you can do and see in the game
