Spy VS spy - In Search of Confidential Documents🕵️

Being a spy is one of the most dangerous and epic jobs we can know, and this interest comes from movies and even history where they show the audacity of daring agents who do missions perfectly following a plan. However, I think the only way to embody a role as important as this is through video games, and in this genre of suspense and stealth I have been able to find a video game named "Alekhine's Gun". Ok I know the name may be strange to pronounce and little known, because at first I thought it would be bad, but after trying it I managed to reach the conclusion that this is a hidden gem without a doubt. So you'll see what my journey as a Russian spy has been like, and you'll understand what makes this game playable fun and immersive. ![]() I'll be honest with you, up to this point I've already passed the first mission before, but I decided to omit it in this post because it was more like a tutorial. So this mission is the second one, and it takes place mainly in a luxurious hotel where some members of the Nazi elite stay to implement their evil plans in the war, to be more exact all this happens after the end of the Second World War that is to say at the height of the Cold War. On the other hand, I take the role of a Russian spy and like all spy work you should already imagine where it goes, camouflage myself among the enemies, steal data and above all be lethal and stealthy eliminating my targets I think this is all I had in mind before crossing that front door, but everything became difficult when I started playing hahaha. ![]() Logically, you already noticed in the screenshot above that there are some glowing silhouettes surrounding me, because this is a very important mechanic in stealth video games, and basically it is like that sixth sense that spies have to evaluate everything in their environment and distinguish what threats and opportunities there are to tell the truth is the first time I see it; however, I think that in video games like hitman already have it even in more recent releases. The silhouettes of people in red represent that they are alert to every move we make, they may even respond by alerting or shooting at us, the people with yellow silhouettes represent that they are suspicious of my movements and finally the white ones are simply distracted and unaware of our presence. ![]() In this hotel everything seemed to be in order and I found no clues of the targets, so I resorted to the old reliable, if the bribe hahaha, I smeared the receptionist's hand with a few bills, and he gave me some information, from where was the room of the Italian and some signs of a spy who was also there, and all this I deduced because he told me that in the room I had booked there were blood stains, but they had not found anybody. ![]() I was to go up to the second floor to find the spy and the documents he had, but my departure was interrupted by the elegant lift operator who asked me for an exclusive hotel guest card, so I set to work. ![]() ![]() What I did was to go to the room of a guest of the hotel until I found the guest card, yes I know it sounds simple, but it was not as it seems, because I had to go through the rooms one by one until I found it. But in this process it was not all bad, because here I found some mechanics that helped me to understand the mission. One of them is to use my ability to open hotel locks, so I managed to sneak in while this guest after a few drinks was taking a nap and at that moment I took the opportunity to steal his card... ![]() ![]() Something that may seem silly to you is the fact that I can turn off the lights in the rooms and if I know how to use it, it usually helps me when I want to sneak through the leftovers undetected. ![]() ![]() ![]() Returning to my objective, I was finally able to go up to the second floor, where I was to tap a phone with an additional line that would help me eavesdrop on the enemy spy's calls in order to discover his whereabouts in the hotel. And you're probably already wondering: and how did you do it, Mr. spy, well, let me show you quickly... first I went to the balcony of a room that connected to the room next door, then using my spider power hahaha I climbed the wall. ![]() Now this little friend you see on the balcony is one of my target's guards, however, I thought it was not necessary to eliminate him. ![]() I set up the outside line to gossip later about the conversation, so I went back the way I came. ![]() Now I'm going to cut a part of the mission for you, because after I finished cloning the phone line I had to find a briefcase that would help me connect to it if I know it is very long process so we are already going to the moment when I can finally take my role as a gossipy spy and finally listen to that conversation hahaha. ![]() In that "private" conversation I managed to discover that the spy would meet in the library with the Italian, to whom he would deliver the confidential documents that even I don't know what they are about XD, but well... ![]() ![]() And if they were indeed in the library! This is the enemy spy ![]() While this is the Italian I've been telling you about. ![]() now these documents that go from hand to hand, came into the hands of the Italian, so he should have taken them away, but prim. Through the balcony again I went into the room where the spy was and with a ninja move I stuck my knife in his neck. ![]() ![]() ![]() Meanwhile the Italian was enjoying a luxurious dinner on the top floor so I had to find him and take them from him, but up to this point in the objectives I was asked to only take the documents from him without inflicting damage to the Italian, something crazy, because he always carried the documents with him! ![]() After sitting for quite a while studying the Italian's route, I discovered that after going to the dining room, he went to the bathroom in his room, which was backed up by his guards. ![]() So I ran to the balcony and climbed again until I reached the room where I was, there I found again the guard that I did not want to eliminate at first, but I had no choice, because I had to disguise myself to gain the confidence of the Italian. ![]() I was so close to my target at last, but remember I couldn't hurt him, so while the Italian was in the bathroom I had to check my arsenal and I found a small bottle of chloroform and that's how I managed to put the Italian to sleep and then steal his documents. ![]() ![]() In order to leave no trace I had to hide the Italian's sleeping body in the closet, so that they would not be suspicious while I was leaving the hotel. I hope some of his guards help him come out of the closet! Well, enough of making bad cysts, I want to move on to the results of my mission. ![]() ![]() The accuracy was one hundred percent, because to tell the truth I did try to be very careful; however, the professionalism score in my mission is eighty percent, that's because I killed a guard, which left me thinking that there would be another way to finish the mission without eliminating any of his guards except for the spy. ![]() ![]() By the end of the day I was able to put into practice my skills and dreams of being a spy having a good result of "Professional" and I put it in quotes because I did not use some mechanics of the mission, so the results may vary depending on the process. I think it's entertaining in terms of gameplay, on the other hand, the story is a bit strong to understand, so if you are a lover of hitman games you will definitely enjoy it, but as always the last opinion is yours and is the one that matters the most to me so leave your comment! ![]() |
The graphics are giving me Mafia and L.A Noire vibes 😀
Yes it is something I forgot to mention in the publication and that is that it has a similar style, but I think it is because it is set in that same era during the Cold War, thanks for leaving your comment.
It looks pretty good for being so unknown and having such a weird name haha, I had never heard of this one. It certainly reminds Hitman, the first ones more than anything else for the visual style.
I see that they took a strong inspiration from the hitman, however, playing it, I noticed some surprises that distinguish them in terms of scenery setting. Thanks for stopping by to check out my adventure!
Keep up the good work. 👏🎵
