Playing Civilization Again #2

Hi Chris here, The year is 820 and I continue to fight off barbarians in the areas around me. Discover Warsaw and head towards the year 1000 very soon. America must be discovered and the areas that are missing to be able to lay out a better strategy. The plan is just to keep the border I made so nice and straight and explore the rest of the world. In the meantime, I have to hang on and get the infrastructure built out so that I can be a great power that avoids a lot of warfare. I'd rather win at something other than a war this time. The plan was to go to win on culture. But I guess I forgot myself a bit in the gameplay so we'll see. Ended up with quite a lot of gold in instead, but I used that to build out the cities. Thinking of making a city in the archipelago south east of me, it's Australia on the map, right? Nice to have an airbase in the future and operate from there if needed. Or a submarine base. 😃

Starting to gain control of my land and surrounding areas. Can take out most barbarians from now on. Also maintaining a good friendship with the nearest city states. Have also had a few more culture and happiness buildings built in the cities so they thrive. In the end I defeat Australia and settle a city, got a free settler in the matches so then 2 cities were built instead. 👍 By the way, I'm blue in the mini map at the bottom of the screenshots. Entering year 1500 AD.

When we enter the 16th century I have 2 armies and a fleet of 3 ships. Finally got away with all the barbarians in the sea around me. As I have now discovered almost the whole world I found out there is none in America.. Maybe I should set up a base there like I did in Australia? Now I also have to focus on what I am best at winning with. It is the year 1620 and soon the race for Victory begins.
