DemoniCore updates: Bug fix, Insanity lowered by Stat upgrade
Hello gamers! DemoniCore is a new p2e HIVE game where you conjure demons to battle, and win DCORE for slaying them in simple turn-based RNG combat.
Our little Discord community has been growing, and I really appreciate the suggestions and issues that y'all are sharing in there!
For one thing, I was able to fix a reported bug, where a player's Insanity level would increase when failing to start a battle, due to not having enough energy.
I also learned that we need alternate ways to decrease Insanity, for players who could find themselves stuck with stats too low to beat Otherworld demons in battle. Ideally, the Insanity mechanic adds a new tactical dimension, forcing players to plan Otherworld demon battles before they go insane. However, for a player who didn't plan - or had bad luck by failing to win their Otherworld demon battles - we definitely want to avoid putting them in a situation that they can't reasonably climb out of.
The first idea, which is live now, was to decrease players' Insanity when they upgrade a stat, such as Attack or Defense level. Stay tuned for more alternate paths to decreasing Insanity, coming soon!

Awesome, it looks hard. Hope it's actually playable and don't take forever to come out with the gameplay.
It is indeed playable - DemoniCore is under active development, and more features are being added, but the core gameplay has been working for a while! Thanks for commenting, and please feel free to give it a try!
