Hackers in paradise 🏝️🤓🕋

It's been a bit since the last time I posted about my favorite new free-to-play FPS game called The Finals. This game is amazing and has done nothing but get better since it launched on December 7th, 2023. The devs have listened to the community closely and I'm so pleased to see where this game is at present time.

Season 1 was pretty great, but it was mainly just the lauch of the game with a cool battle pass. That ended on March 14th which is also the same day that Season 2 began.

Season 2 cranked things up in a big way, there are so many new things that were added to the game. The theme for the new season is "Hacking". That already sounds cool I'm sure, but wait until you hear the details. We got a new map, weapons, gadgets, a 5v5 game mode, a specialization, private matches, a revamped ranked league, a weekly rewarded career circuit, and of course a new battle pass.

Everything new Finals Season 2

◘ A new 5v5 game mode called Power Shift

This mode offers a unique gameplay experience, requiring teams to escort a floating platform to locations in opposite directions. The platform can destroy terrain and is affected by physics, adding a strategic element to the competition.

◘ New gadgets

The Gateway (Light): Enables players to set up a teleport network between two points.
The Dematerializer (Medium): Temporarily removes walls, floors, and ceilings.
The Data Reshaper (Medium): Transforms enemy mines into harmless objects.
The Anti-Gravity Cube (Heavy): Lifts players and objects into the air.

◘ New map

The map is called SYS$HORIZON, a glitchy, neon-colored voxel cityscape that allows players to move in unexpected ways.

◘ New weapons

93R machine pistol, FAMAS assault rifle, and KS-23 slug shotgun, offering players new ways to engage in combat.

◘ Gameplay changes

Introducing the Hacker Playstyle, allowing players to manipulate the arena. The Finals Season 2 introduces a revamped ranked league system, providing a more rewarding and competitive experience for players. Weekly-rewarded career progression and private matches for custom games further enhance the gameplay, giving players more ways to enjoy the game with friends and rivals alike.

As you can see above, there are loads of changes to The Finals. Embark Studios somehow managed to add a bunch of stuff that I never would have imagined this game would have. If you have never played The Finals, there is no better time to start than now.
