My first impressions of Battlefield 2042 Season 7 Turning Point's new map "Haven"
This feels like the Battlefield I remember π€ποΈ
I haven't been playing a lot of Battlefield 2042 lately. None at all actually, it's been 6 months at least. The game is miles better than it was when it launched back in November of 2021. It's certainly not a bad game. I just have way too many other options that I prefer when it comes to shooters. I'm talking about you The Finals.
With that said, I couldn't help but be drawn to the style of 2042's Season 7 map called Haven. It reminded me of many of my favorite maps from past Battlefield games. I knew that I absolutely had to give it a try.
Haven is a map that takes place in the Atacama Desert and features infantry and vehicle combat. The map is described as a love letter to classics like Arica Harbor (BC2) and Strike at Karkand (BF2). Players must use the cover of a destroyed town with saturated colors left behind. The map also features El Alicanto's sizzling heat, dunes, and palm trees.
I can only describe this match so much. If you are a long-time Battlefield player like myself, then surely you feel the nostalgia too. I've been playing since 2005's Battlefield 2: Modern Combat on Xbox 360. Nearly 20 years later, this is the best the game has ever looked.
It's now time to jump into my gameplay video below. Keep in mind that this is my first match on Haven and I'm also mad rusty at BF2042. Don't judge me if I do terribly. Also, don't be surprised if I do great considering I've been playing this game for more than half my life.
Thanks for watching and be sure to drop any comments you may have down below, I will get back to everyone.

I was about to buy this game with the latest Steam sales. But I don't know, in the end I didn't decide. I feel like Battlefield and COD are in decline, that's my feeling. By the way, they already announced some things about the PS6, will you buy it? XD I find it incredible how Sonny hasn't finished squeezing out the potential of a console to release another immediately. Thanks for share bro!
Battlefield and COD games have been much less likely to keep me playing them in recent years. They are still some fun, but there are just so many other games out there which I haven't already been playing for 20 years.
PS6 is a long way off, but I'm sure I'll want it by the time it comes out. I'll probably skip out on PS5 Pro though.
