Unpacking Skyrim: Anniversary Edition

Hey gamers πŸ‘‹ I'm a little bit late to the party, as is my fortΓ©, but this week, I have been unearthing new content as I play Skyrim: Anniversary Edition for the first time!

Skyrim became my go-to game when it was first released, and nearly 15 years later, it continues to remain my personal favorite. Having completed the game multiple times and seen everything there is to see, you can imagine how excited I was at the prospect of NEW MISSIONS!! 🀩 Anyway, here is some of the gameplay thus far...

(Of course, I HAD to begin the post with this ancient relic πŸ˜‚πŸ˜)

(This is my character, Whisma. I have decided to be a Khajiit this time around. I find human types are boring, but I enjoy being Elves and Khajiit.)

(The classic opening scene. It is probably one of the most iconic openings in a game, ever! Even today, whenever I play this scene, I'm filled with so much anxiety and anticipation!)

(Some beautiful scenery that I have come across. Again, Skyrim was iconic for its scenic imagery. I used to spend hours, just taking in the sights and soundtrack...)

(Taking out a Sabre-Tooth Tiger)

(Well, I HAD to get some epic crotch shots -- it IS Skyrim, after all! πŸ˜‚)

So, this was one of the added features of this edition of Skyrim: zombies! πŸ§Ÿβ€β™‚οΈ That's right, one of the new missions involves stumbling upon a ritual, and when you arrive, you are immediately surrounded by zombies! At the altar, you will be able to find a copy of the spell book Conjure Zombie.

(Some nice butt shots, hehe 😏)

There are also pets in Skyrim now! πŸ˜ƒ I believe you will be able to meet various types. So far I have only met Thistle the Rabbit (who is insanely cute πŸ₯Ή)

By far, the most rewarding location has been Runoff Caverns. It is located to the west of the map, near the City of Markarth. It is a Dwemer cavern, filled with Dwarven Spiders, Spheres, Ballistas, and Centurions.

There are four main areas of the caverns, dedicated to the four seasons (and they are absolutely beautiful). The objective in each area is the same: restore balance and obtain the crystal.

(This is Spring Symphony; the front door is surrounded by greenery and mountain flowers)

(A huge matriarch Spriggon stands guard while rabbits run amuck. The objective for Spring is to kill all of the Spriggons)

(This is the crystal that you must retrieve from each room)

(Summer's Chords is an interesting room. You obtain a Spider Control Rod and must guide a Dwarven Spider to all of the switches)

(This is Autumn's Bells. The front door was covered in foliage and a harvest of veggies)

(The Autumn room is truly beautiful. The objective is to collect special wheat throughout the room, but watch out for the Dwarven Centurions on guard!)

(Here is Winter's Chimes, covered in ice and snow)

(This room is perhaps the easiest. However, it requires taking the plunge on more than one occasion, so take care!)

After completing all four rooms, you will then fight a boss (Elberon's Assistant). The final room will finally be unlocked, and when you go inside, you will have to defeat a GIANT Dwarven Spider!

Unfortunately, I am still working on defeating the Spider (I am only Level 15 in a Level 30 area lol). Hopefully it will not take too much longer, and I will be able to post the end results here! πŸ˜ƒ In the meantime, thank you for checking out today's post, and I hope everybody has a wonderful week

Skyrim is a great game. I think it was one of the first open worlds I ever played, and I really loved the story and the variety of side quests from groups like the Thieves Guild and the Dark Brotherhood.

I think the only flaw in Skyrim is its combat.

Yes, the same for me, the first open world game. I was extremely impressed with the amount of missions; every time I finished one, a new one started πŸ˜ƒ

Thank you for commenting, please have a great week

I am working with a Switch at the moment. I don't think the system would be able to handle multiple mods, it crashes every other time I open it πŸ˜πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

Thank you for your comment, please have a great week!

Ohhh a Switch, well then just having Skyrim to enjoy is enough, plenty of game time can be sunk into it!

You're welcome and thank you, you enjoy your week too! πŸ™‚πŸ™‚
