Wow! At first I thought @blessie31 was from Nigeria. Listening to her sing speaks of originality. You could definitely see Blessing singing. I saw passion.

Before I go further, I did like to appreciate the organisers and judges of this wonderful platform of opportunities: @verbal-d, @silentscreamer.

And like I would always say, the essence of a good music is rich, edifying, and clear lyrics. You might have a cool voice, but not be able to convey a message from your singing all because of clarity in voice. music is complete when communication has been made.

Of course, there might be other reasons for music, like the melody, instrumentation, vibes gotten from the sound produced and the rest...but never the less, a good music to me is much more than just instrumentation and sound mixture.

Music is all about communication which involves connection. This connection is a connection with the source and a connection with the destination. What do I mean?

Something very little know is the fact that every message has a source from which it is communicated; invariably, every message of a good music comes from a source. Most times, this message comes with it the particular sound or melody through which it should flow. An inspired song comes with both message and its appropriate melody.

A singer is one who conveys this inspiration to the world, but not without first connecting with the world. The world in this case is the receiver.

@blessie31 is one singer who demonstrates such connections. Other musicians are Enya, Yanni, Michael W. Smith, etc. These sing songs which pierces into the soul.
Music is Soul!

Nice write up @cts-tony, I would have liked to have read more deeply on the connection and more specific breakdowns on certain examples, your post was a bit short and generalized, maybe next time include a favorite song and particular lyrics that speak to you or made you feel a way of inspiration or invoked some type of Aha moment or epiphany... Next time feel free to include a @blessie31 video performance link of a song that affected you, I am sure she would appreciate the acknowledgements and I would have too because I wanted to play her singing as I read this review on her. She has a lovely voice gifted to bless the Lord.
