About This Content Campaign:What’s the Best Thing You Heard, Read, Saw, Thought, or Felt Today?Post it in the comments – and win an HSBI (or two)! I’ll randomly give away one or two HSBI per day to a sincere entry. I’ll also publish a small selection of highlights from time to time.Rules
How Winners Are ChosenI won’t judge which comment/posting is “best” – that’s subjective. I’ll simply pick one at random. If your entry is sincere and gets picked, you’ll win 1 HSBI. If you also write a full post about it (outside the comments and include a link to it), you’ll receive 2 HSBI. Why This Campaign?Because even small things can have a big impact: a meaningful quote, a thoughtful moment, a tiny spark of inspiration. Maybe you’ll remember something important. Maybe you’ll discover something new. Maybe someone else will be touched by your contribution. Thank You for Your Contribution!

My Contribution for Today:
My post today picks up on yesterday's theme. Yesterday it was “20 percent of a situation is determined by the circumstance, 80 percent by how you deal with it.”. Today I would like to tell you about:
“It is.”
It is. No more, no less. An unevaluative statement that we should use instead of rushing to judgment. It is not just the acceptance of something. Rather, it is the realization that we often don't even know what a state contains, what result arises from it. Without babbling on in an incomprehensible way, we come to the explanation of why it is not only healthier to sometimes simply mark things with “it is” instead of adding an evaluative component.
Your partner could leave you today. Do you think that's bad? Or does it give you the opportunity to find an even better partner?
Lost your job today? Is that a bad thing or the opportunity to finally take up your dream job, learn something new or finally do what you've always wanted to do? Perhaps the perfect time to move or emigrate? You might even be grateful later that you got rid of the job!
Have you had a setback in your business today? Is this a bad thing or an incentive to do even better in the future, perhaps to make yourself more independent, to discover new areas of business that will make you much wealthier or much less stressful?
Chocolate ice cream is empty? Is that a bad thing or perhaps an opportunity to discover that pistachio is even better? A chance to discover what will make your future life much better!
Internet gone? Bad because there's no YouTube to fall asleep to or a chance to think instead of being stuffed full? You could have some great ideas! Give it a go without YouTube - you'll be amazed at what your head will come up with! Even life-changing thoughts? Use it!
I think you have understood the principle. Not only that an alternative view helps you in the now. Much more relevant: You don't even know what the future might bring. To give you a personal example: if I hadn't lost all my money in my mid-20s, I wouldn't be where I am today - and I'm extremely grateful for that! At the time, I thought “shit”. Looking back, I realize that it took this to start a certain chain of circumstances. One thing led to another. So now I know that I shouldn't be too quick to judge a situation, because we never know what will be the long-term result of it.
And if we have recognized this, then we can look at the course of events in a completely different and more relaxed way, stay in harmony, rest within ourselves, be at peace. This is not only much healthier, but certainly also more beneficial than “shit, shit, shit” in our head. Your choice.
Deine Wahl.
