You know I love symbols and local identity – and few things say more about a place than its coat of arms. So today’s post is all about that.

I took a closer look at the city’s emblem, and it’s full of meaning:
• There’s a bridge crossing a river – a nod to how the city grew from a key trading connection between two banks.
• A tower rises in the middle, framed by two trees – one of them an oak, long associated with independence and civic pride.
• At the top, there arr two wolfes standing tall, symbolizing strength, guardianship, and historical significance.
• The colors? Bold and traditional – red, gold, and green – echoing the region’s rich past and dynamic present.

Rätselraten zum Reisebeginn – wohin geht’s diesmal?

Hallo ihr Lieben,
ich melde mich wieder – diesmal direkt mit einem kleinen Spiel für euch, bevor ich überhaupt verrate, wo mein Urlaub beginnt.

Denn wie ihr wisst: Ich liebe Symbole, Geschichten und kleine Details, die uns mehr über Orte verraten, als es jeder Reiseführer könnte. Und deshalb habe ich mir etwas ausgedacht…

🛡️ Das Wappen meiner Startstadt

Ich werfe ich einen Blick auf das Wappen der Stadt, in der meine Reise beginnt. Es ist faszinierend – und sehr symbolträchtig:
• Man sieht einen Brückenschlag über einen Fluss, der für den Ursprung der Stadt steht – die Verbindung beider Ufer war zentral für die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung.
• Daneben steht ein majestätischer Turm, eingebettet zwischen zwei Bäumen – einer davon ist eine Eiche, ein sehr bedeutungsvolles Symbol für lokale Unabhängigkeit und Stolz.
• Über allem wachen zwei Wölfe, Symbol für Stärke, Schutz und Tradition.
• Die Farben sind kräftig und klar – Rot, Gold, Grün – wie ein Versprechen an Geschichte und Zukunft zugleich.
