My silver pocket piece!

(Edited)

A few days ago @buggedout wrote a post talking about his pocket silver piece, an 1966 Australian Round 50 Cent Piece.

I happen to have one too, although it's not a coin but something imo a lot, lot cooler. And probably the perfect pocket piece!

Wanna see it? 🙈🙈🙈

A 1 oz silver piece, in the dimensions of a credit card! Making it a perfect fit and carry as long. Just put it in your wallet and forget about it.

Btw, despite the numerous cum stains fingerprints, it still retains the mirror like finish, so sorry for the annoying glare in the photos.

As you can read in the COA on the right, these cards are minted by Pyromet and are of 0.999 purity.

But what I love even more about this piece is that I got it for free, @summertooth was kind enough to include it as a gift after I ordered something else from him. Lol, what a fucking dumbass 😂

Silver Value

Ok, let's first check how silver doing today

(via google)

Yeah, silver price pretty stagnant these days 🥺

So the weight value of the card is about 23$. Good luck getting it for that price though. After checking some sites you would need at least 30 bucks to score one unless you buy in bulk.

Random Silver Fact of the Day
Today's random silver fact is...

Silver is used in X-ray film as a sensitive material for capturing and producing X-ray images. X-ray film typically consists of a thin layer of gelatin containing silver halide crystals, such as silver bromide or silver chloride. When X-rays pass through the body and interact with the film, they expose the silver halide crystals, causing them to undergo a chemical reaction that forms a latent image. This latent image can be developed and fixed using various chemical processes to produce a visible X-ray image that reveals internal structures and abnormalities in the human body. Silver's sensitivity to X-rays makes it an essential component in traditional X-ray imaging technology. (Via chatgpt)

Ha! That's something I already knew. There are even many diy videos if you happen to own a good chunk of x-rays and want to extract the silver out of them:

Ok plebs, hope you enjoyed today's piece! I know I did as it's one of my favorite!

@silversaver888 sells them for 50 hbd a pop. A bit expensive but imo worth it as a one time hive memorabilia. You can check her posts :)

Nice one. Fits great in the wallet, but it must be thin. In my wallet it would probably get bent.

I love .999 silver but that's one piece that might be better done in Sterling to make it stronger.
