In gold or silver, it depicts a prospector squatting down along a riverbed and panning for gold. It is a favorite subject design for rounds and art bars by a few foundries and mints, as well as mine

And it all started with the 1925 California Silver Half Dollar Diamond Jubilee Commemorative Coin of the U.S. Mint. The coin features a prospector on the obverse and a grizzly bear on the reverse. It was minted to celebrate the 75th anniversary of California's statehood.

I had thought that the 1982 was my favorite with the stagecoach, although of course like you, I like the whole theme of them! However, now after seeing that lovely hand poured specimen, I might have to change to that one being my favorite! Seriously awesome! Thanks for sharing sis! Sam's Town is one of my old colleagues favorite places to stay and play in Vegas. I've never been there myself. These are definitely some iconic pieces. I like the one where you can split it into quarters. I have a piece like that, but it isn't a prospector on the front.
