But I like Wonder Woman because she was one of the first female superheroes. For a long time, she was the only one.
I love that she fights for America, and her costume with its stars and stripes is super patriotic. And everyone who knows me knows I’m a true patriot!
Not only is Wonder Woman a powerhouse superhero, but she also has an incredibly rich backstory. Raised on the hidden island of Themyscira, she grew up among fierce warrior women, mastering combat and strategy.
What sets her apart is her compassion and commitment to justice, grounded in her belief in the potential for good in everyone. She often tackles complex moral dilemmas, blending might with diplomacy.
2024 Samoa 1 oz Silver DC Comics Wonder Woman
Wonder Woman’s iconic weapons—the Lasso of Truth, indestructible bracelets, and a variety of powerful artifacts—are part of what makes her such a formidable force.
Coin Highlights:
- Contains 1 oz of .999 fine silver.
- Mintage of only 15,000 coins worldwide.
- Individual coins are packaged in protective capsules. Multiple of 20 arrive in heat-sealed rolls.
- Obverse: Features the coat of arms for Samoa along with the issuing country crest, the face value, year of issue, weight and fineness.
- Reverse: Features Wonder Woman standing on a large boulder with birds flying in the background. She is holding her Lasso of Truth in her hands.
- This coin is legal tender in Samoa.

The character was created during World War II
It was a time when strong female figures were desperately needed in popular culture. Her character was created by William Moulton Marston. He envisioned Wonder Woman as a leader who could fight for peace and equality, embodying the strength and grace of the early feminist icons he admired.

I remember watching Justice League cartoons as a kid with wonder woman and her invidisble jet. Then there was Lynda Carter. As a young boy I thought I was in love..hahah

Absolutely unforgettable. She really brought the character to life and made a lasting impression on many people. She is the one with the star & stripes Those early crushes are something else, huh? I caught most of the Marvel movies and some of the DC movies. I seen the Justice league movie with Gadot. Haven't seen the stand alone movie with just her though. I need to.

I prefer the later versions of Wonder Woman, starting 2017 with Gal Gadot. Maybe because I was just a baby when Lynda Carter was TV series Wonder Woman. In 2017 we were stacking by then, !LOL.

Wonder Woman definitely brings a lot to the table with her Greek goddess inspiration and all-around awesomeness. But I totally get the appeal of Batman—there’s something about his brooding, detective vibes and the way he tackles crime in Gotham that’s just so cool.
Batman’s lack of superpowers makes his gadgets, martial arts skills, and sharp intellect all the more impressive. Plus, his rogues' gallery is full of some of the most iconic villains in comic book history. Do you have a favorite Batman movie or storyline, @seki1?

For Batman storylines, nothing really beats the Dark Knight trilogy.
This is probably the most gruesome of Gotham and we see Batman's greatest villains with their twisted views on the world.
Way more realistic and human that Superman's lex Luther villain..
