For this occasion, I'd like to share with you a YouTube channel I've been watching for months. It's called El Diario de Mamá (Mom's Diary), run by a young Colombian woman who is an actress and shares dramatic and surprising stories from her subscribers. I must confess that I stumbled across this channel by chance and thought the story she was telling was her own. I remember it being a very impactful story, and if I manage to find it, I'll share it here. But it left me breathless. Then, days later, I heard another story, and just when I started to think that this woman was going through a lot of bad things, I began reading the comments and realized that she was actually telling other people's stories. Even the channel banner says, "Your story in my voice."
Para esta ocasión me gustaría compartir con ustedes un canal de youtube que he estado viendo desde hace meses, se llama El Diario de Mamá, dirigido por una joven colombiana que es actriz y se dedica a contar historias dramáticas y sorprendentes de sus suscriptores. Debo confesar que conseguí este canal por casualidad y pensé que la historia que la chica contaba era propia, y recuerdo que fue una historia muy impactante y si logro conseguirla la compartiré por aquí, pero me dejó sin aliento, luego, días después escuché otra historia, y justo cuando empecé a pensar que a esta mujer le pasaban muchas cosas malas, entonces comencé a leer los comentarios y allí comprendí que ella en realidad se dedicaba a contar historias ajenas, incluso en el banner del canal se puede leer la leyenda "Tu historia en mi voz"
She has a lot of videos on her channel because she uploads content several times a week, around three or four times a week. Sometimes they're paranormal stories, but most of the time they're terrible stories involving family or friends—horrible behavior that defies explanation. For example, the video I mentioned in the previous paragraph, which shocked me so much (unfortunately, I couldn't find it because I don't know the title), was about a mother who was arrested after throwing her teenage son out of his bedroom window. However, after hearing the whole story, although I still think the best course of action was to involve the appropriate authorities, I can at least understand that she did it in a fit of desperation, since she had discovered something shocking: her older son engaging in lewd acts with his younger sister (who was five years old). That would drive anyone crazy with anger, disappointment, and rage, so I can understand her reaction.
Ella tiene muchísimos videos en el canal porque sube contenido varias veces a la semana, al rededor de 3 o cuatro veces por semana, algunas veces son historias paranormales, pero la mayoría de las veces son historias terribles que tienen que ver con familiares o amigos, actitudes horribles que uno no puede explicar. Por ejemplo el video del que les hablé en el párrafo anterior y que me impactó tanto (lamentablemente no pude encontrarlo porque no sé cuál es el nombre del título) pero ese video trataba de una madre que estaba presa luego de haber arrojado a su hijo adolescente por la ventana de su habitación, sin embargo luego de conocer la historia completa, aunque sigo pensando que lo mejor era implicar a las autoridades correspondientes, al menos puedo entender que ella lo hizo en un arrebato de desesperación, ya que ella había descubierto algo impactante, a su hijo mayor practicando actos lascivos con la hermanita menor (de 5 años) Eso volvería loco de ira, decepción y rabia a cualquiera, así que puedo entender su reacción.
In a recent video, she dared to tell her own story, which proved to be just as impactful as the stories she usually shares about other people. In that video, she explains that she is the daughter of a mother traumatized by sexual abuse, and that she too had many problems and even suffered abuse of the same nature, but despite everything, she overcame it, managing to build something successful on her own, or well, as I always say, with God's help. She studied drama and even worked in television, so that's where she gets her ability to tell stories so naturally and that deeply touch the audience's heart. But when she tells her own story, you can clearly perceive her own pain, and at the same time, all the growth and resilience behind it.
En un video reciente ella se atrevió a contar su propia historia, la cuál resultó ser tan impactante como las historias que suele contar de otras personas. En ese video ella explica que ella es hija de una madre con traumas a raíz de un abuso sexual, y que ella también tuvo muchos problemas e incluso un abuso de la misma naturaleza, pero a pesar de todo ella salió adelante, logró emprender por si sola, o bueno, como siempre digo, con la ayuda de Dios. Estudió arte dramático e incluso llegó a trabajar para la televisión, así que de allí le viene esa capacidad para contar historias de manera tan natural y que llega profundamente al corazón de la audiencia, pero al contar su propia historia puedes percibir claramente su propio dolor, y al mismo tiempo todo el desarrollo y superación que hay detrás.
This channel has kept me entertained for a long time, but it has also made me feel grateful to God for the life I have had, which although it has not been perfect (like nobody's) despite having lost my father when I was only eleven years old, I know that many people have gone through true unspeakable hells, and at least for them it is an encouragement to be able to express themselves through this YouTube channel.
Este canal me ha mantenido entretenido por mucho tiempo, pero también me ha hecho sentir agradecido con Dios, por la vida que he tenido, que aunque no ha sido perfecta (como la de nadie) a pesar de haber perdido a mi padre cuando yo solo tenía once años, sé que mucha gente ha pasado por verdaderos infiernos inenarrables, y al menos para ellos es un aliciente el poder expresarse a través de este canal de youtube.

I watched the whole video... a shocking story with so many things that have happened to her and her mother, and your final reflection is what I myself was thinking, how grateful we should be in life for what we have, because there are truly bad and difficult stories that can harm our children's lives. Sí, así es, de verdad que debemos estar agradecidos por todo lo que hemos tenido en nuestra familia, y aunque no somos perfectos, hemos tenido vidas si se quiere privilegiadas.
