Two birds by numbers part 2.

IMG_20251006_092314.jpg

I did not create this image. I am only coloring it.

This time I colored the background. For that I used most of paint with that color and there still are areas that need that paint in the tree. But I should be able to finish this set either with what remains of that color or similar color from previous sets.

I can see the green leaves which were not on yesterday's own, that's great 👍 well done 👍

loving how you tackled the ba,ckground first. using most of that pa,int then stretching what’s left or pulling a close shade from older sets feels like a tidy budegt, my numbers brain approves :) that slight colro shift can add depth to the tree and make it feel more natural. steady and smart progress, i can see this set landing just right.

Same here, Venice has that dreamy vibe that hits different'. The birds set is still shaping up nicely, and the the little color shifts make it feel alive :) If you revisit Venice later, would you lean into the reflections or the warm lights, or do you prefer bold sky tones when you dont have the exact paint?

I like both options.

Nice, then go hybrid: keep the cool reflections as your base, glaze in warm ligths near windows, and if the mix runs short, punch one bold sky strip to anchor it. That combo defnitely sells depth without needing exact paint. Maybe start with a coo'l water wash, then tap in tiny amber dots so it feels like Venice at dusk :) What do you think?

I don't think that I will be coloring Venice again anytime soon. I have bought other sets that I want to color first.

The background sets a calm/peaceful tone for the birds and the branches. Great progress so far.

This painting has fewer details than the previous one. I wonder if the color you use covers up the numbers that indicate which color you should use.
