Two birds by numbers part 1.

IMG_20251005_115805.jpg

Image not created by me. I started coloring another painting by numbers set. This set is showing two birds in a tree. So far I colored the birds and darkest areas in the set. From three sets I colored so far this one is probably the most frustrating because multiple paints are very dry and barely usable. That is very bad because I want to gift this set to our neighbor who likes animals and birds. So I am sure that she would like this set but completing it with those dry paints will be a problem. This set just like Venice and elephants sets was made in China but most of the sets I bought are from Ukraine. I will see if the quality of those sets is better or worse in the future. But I hope that this will be first and last time when set comes with defective paints...

You could buy other paints? Shouldn't be too expensive

I think that I would have to buy the whole same set again. I don't think that I will do that instead I will use some similar paints that are left from Venice set.

Yes, good choice, if you buy the same set again you might get them dry again

I think you should stick with the old style. This isn't you

this is not my art. I am just coloring those sets to decorate our home. But I intend to return to making my own art at some point in the future as well.

I think you should just be patient and explore other options, I am sure you will get the one that suits you more. All the best 👍

Oof, dry paints are the worst, especially when you want to gift this to your neighbor who loves birds :(.
A tiny drop of warm water and a slow stir can revive many pots, have you tried that?
If one shade is gone you could match it with a small acrylic from a local store, and if a few spots stay chunky, turn it into feathery texture and call it art, the birds get a free spa day :).
I definately get the frustration, the paints was fighting you, but dont let this set be wasted.

I still have some a bit similar paints from Venice set. So I will use them.

Great call, those Venice paints should blend in fine if the col;or tones match. Maybe test a tiny swatch on scrap first, thsi saves surprises on the birds :) If any edge looks patchy, a soft damp brush can smooth it, and a light matte varnish later will even things out. Your neighbor will defintely love the thought behind it, even more than perfect lines.

Nice gesture to gift it to your neighbor. Consider buying new paints to finish the job.

To get more paints I would probably have to buy this coloring set again. So instead I will use similar paints from other sets.

I am sure your neighbor will love it when it's complete. Don't worry! Keep putting the ink!

@fieryfootprints, I failed to pay out 0.282 HIVE and 0.000 HBD to reward 10 comments in this discussion thread.

My wallet is running low on Hive or HBD. I will try again later.
