Truth [ Writing Contest ] Continue the tale Chapter 2
Have you ever found something that, maybe , it would have been better to just leave unfound?
Mirabel said, still sitting there in disbelief over the information she heard from Mrs. Shelton.
"I warned you, but you didn't listen," Mrs. Shelton scolded her, she got up and gripped her stick tightly as she made her way to the kitchen. Mrs. Shelton, an elderly woman living alone in her apartment without children or caregivers, performs most of her own household chores, although she frequently struggles due to her weak and aging legs.
How do I proceed at this point? My perspective has altered, and I'm not sure what to do because my curiosity got the better of me. I wish I had never insisted on knowing the truth. Mirabel muttered, burying her face between her legs and crying.
Mrs. Shelton brought her a glass of water and said, "Here, take a sip."
After taking a sip, she place it on the table beside her and then continue to sob profusely.
"Maybe you need some alone time. I'll be in the room whenever you're ready to talk, Let me know." Mrs. Shelton said as she left her there.
When Mrs. Shelton returned to check on her after a few hours of waiting, she found her still in tears. "I will have to call your mother to come at this point," she remarked.
Mirable asked , "Which mother?" My mom or aunt, who I just found out is my biological mother.
