Not Another Land Post?! Revisiting The Previously Purchased And Developed Land Plot

It has been over a week since my previous land post where I purchased another plot using my earnings from Land. Let's revisit our Canyon with a Quarry in Region 81, Dorthan Dell, and see where we currently stand production-wise.
The previous article can be found HERE in case you're interested in how this journey began.

Seven Days Later
We know from the previous article that we would not be able to produce our own Grain from this worksite. We therefore need to find a different source of Grain in order to harvest the Stone currently stored in our Quarry.
This can be done three different ways:
- Swap previously harvested Stone for DEC
- Buy Grain with DEC
- Send Grain directly from a different Region
For our purposes, we will only consider the first two options.

As you can see from the image above, we do not have enough Grain to feed our sole worker and claim the Stone we have already accumulated in our worksite.
Let's obtain some Grain by following the two options mentioned above. Keep in mind, we need at least 3,351 Grain to complete this harvest.

These two transactions give us enough Grain to claim the Stone we have accumulated.

Now we are ready to claim this natural resource.

Immediately after harvesting, we will get a prompt telling us how much resources we received and how much we paid in taxes.

We now have more Stone!
As you can see below, we can swap all of our net Stone for over 6,100 Grain if we wanted to.
Assuming we harvest again at the same time a week from now, already knowing we would need at least 3,351 Grain for a full claim, we can swap just enough Stone to get to that Grain amount.
Any leftover Stone can either be swapped for DEC for profit, paired with DEC for an LP deposit, or stockpiled for a future transaction.
You can also swap this Stone for other natural resources like Wood and Iron, if preferred.
We now have a harvesting system with a single Non-Grain plot.

In Other News: Weekly Harvest and more Land Purchases
Another thing I have been tracking is my weekly earnings from my Land.
- 4/6 = 3,341 DEC
- 4/7 = 2,999 DEC
- 4/8 = 2,875 DEC
- 4/9 = 2,602 DEC
- 4/10 = 2,738 DEC
- 4/11 = was out on vacation :)
- 4/12 = 3,639 DEC
- TOTAL = 18,194 DEC
I've been getting fewer and fewer DEC from weekly swaps as the exchange rates for resources stabilize.
Still, it's enough to get at least 1 plot of land weekly! I wonder how the new card set will affect these rates!
Resources for repairing Conflict Wagons and brewing Midnight Potions, anyone?
I also came across a lot of plots that were listed for cheap! See two of my purchases below!

Even though I used Credits for these purchases, my weekly Land earnings pretty much paid for the first plot, at the very least.
Isn't that great? Getting a land plot for basically free! Came with Building-in-a-Box and a completed worksite too!
The Grain I accumulated throughout the week was paired with my extra DEC. I added them to the LPs to further increase my position:

Little by little.
Summary
Approaching Splinterlands Land as a beginner might be daunting at first but we have tons of helpful and trustworthy members of the community that can help you and guide you along your journey.
Some will say that owning a Grain-producing plot like Bog, Lake, River, or Plains, would be ideal and that a Grain Farm is the best starting worksite but what if you have a plot with a different terrain that produces another type of resource?
Are you screwed? Absolutely not!
While I would agree that Grain-producing plots would be simpler to manage, this article shows that having a different type of plot is just as easy to run! There are different ways to get the Grain you need to start or continue production on your land plot!
So, what do you think about my approach? Do you think this makes sense? What would you rather do?

Your article about lands is very interesting. It would be great to continue with this topic.
I have already started to be a liquidity provider for stone, iron and wood. Not much, because I want to start more slowly, but from what I understand, are the income from the fees we receive from exchanges reinvested? Because I can't find any icon that makes me receive these income...
I know that I will have a 10% penalty if I withdraw my liquidity before 30 days, but I think it would be more interesting if we could have more freedom with what to do with the income we earn from the pools.
Thanks for your input!
My understanding is that the fees are reinvested into the LP. There should be a toggle switch that would show you how much fees you have received.
Splinterlands is currently under maintenance but I can post a screenshot here when the server is up again.
Here you go! @coyotelation
Thank you! So the income is indeed reinvested.
I hope that in the future this detail will change a little and give us greater freedom of choice in our income.
