Escalation Presale is Almost Half Way Through

avatar

Introduction

It has been exactly a week since the Escalation mini set presale has started. I wrote a post analyzing the first day of the Escalation presale here. Today, as I have promised in that post I am going to circle back to the Escalation presale and see how things have changes since then.

Escalation Presale Total Packs Sold

Let's start with a high level look at the total pack sold, this gives us a big picture view of where we are with the Escalation presale. As of today February 17th 2026 we stand at 337,714 packs still available out of the half a million pack total.

In the last six days we have sold 24,563 packs or 4.9126% of the total packs that were available for the Escalation mini set. Is that a lot or not? I think that is a fairly small number of packs and we still didn't reach the 250,000 pack number for the packs sold and we remain 87,714 packs away from selling out half way.

We still have seven days left in the presale so I am fairly confident that we will reach the half way sold out state by the end of the presale, I would even think that we will sell more than 250,000 packs total.

Cost of Packs in USD vs in SPS

Escalation packs are officially priced at five dollars per pack, so if you were to buy them using your credit card you would have to pay five thousand five hundred dollars for 1100 packs that are required to get the maxed out copy of a regular foil legendary promo card.

But what happens if you were to pay in SPS tokens? Each Escalation pack is priced at 350 SPS tokens so to get the same 1100 packs you would need 385,000 SPS tokens. And with SPS trading at around $0.0059 it would cost you $2,271 or a discount of $3,229 dollars.

You can also see that since the start of the Escalation presale SPS is down about 16% with the low on SPS coming during the Valentine's day at $0.005393

If you are paying in SPS then the price of a pack is basically $2 instead of the official USD price of $5 per pack! If you were to buy the SPS at levels lower than the current price of SPS and there were lots of opportunities to do that then you would be paying less than $2 per pack...

And looking at the chart of SPS in the last seven days I can predict that you will have more opportunities to accumulate SPS at prices that price Escalation packs below two dollars:

I would not wait for the last day of the presale to buy SPS for your packs as I would expect that there could be some last minute SPS buying for last minute Escalation pack purchases and the price might spike temporarily.

I would also like to mention that the pack price in SPS has dropped from my last review of the presale from $2.28 to $2.00 a drop of over ten percent.

Looking at the Escalation Presale Leaderboard

If we look at the Escalation presale leaderboard and look a the top pack buyers we see that there are absolutely no changes in the top six. Top six is where pack buyers get around $1,200 in extra value and the difference between six and seventh place is 10 packs or $20 so I definitely expect some last minute pack buying to get into top six.

I see some pack buying in the second tier, looks like Azircon added one hundred packs and Abrockman did the same. Meredorn and Lorkus also bought additional packs and moved @neoxian to fourteenth position from the twelfth place he was previously occupying.

There was definitely movement to get into the top twenty as Dagger212 dropped from fifteenth position all the way down to twenty third a drop of eight position.

There was also movement to get into top thirty. So far the lower the placement on the leader board for the Escalation presale the more movement there has been in the last six days. I would expect that will continue and the last twenty four hours of the presale will be most fun to watch.

To get into top one hundred it now takes 302 packs which is 100 packs more than it took six days ago.

And finally to get into top 250 the lowest position that gives you a rare title has moved up to twenty plus packs compared to only eight packs six days ago.

Conclusion

The Escalation presale is going OK and people are buying packs there were 24,563 packs sold in the last six days or $50,723 in the last six days if we price them in SPS. This is resulting in some movement at the Escalation presale leaderboard below the top six.

But this is not enough to support the price of SPS and it is suffering and as a result the price of SPS is down about sixteen percent in the last seven days since the Escalation presale has started. I would say that the sales so far are below my initial expectations but there is still hope that people will be temped by the $2 Escalation packs and there will be a pack sales and SPS price at the end of the presale. My prediction from the last post about Escalation presale still stand that it will not sell out.
