Last Season Results, New Season Goals, and October Power Up
Hello there! @saydie here, playing Splinterlands everyday!
Not only are we in a new season of Splinterlands, we also were at the beginning of the new month, which for many Hive users means that it is time again for another Hive Power Up Day. Increasing Hive staked not only helps to increase curation rewards we get, but also gives us more say in the governance of the chain when it comes to proposals. It was September last year when I first started my #HPUD journey, making this month of October my my 13th consecutive participation, but my goal is to made it through the entire 2025, and that means two more months after this.
But before I go with the specifics of my power up, the results of my last season grind, as well as my new goals for this season.
Season 80 Splinterlands Report
Just similar to the previous seasons, I did not attempt to push trough the Champion league, even though, that guarantees me bigger SPS rewards, for the reason that I want more Glint to help me complete my Rebellion Soulbound reward collection, before it gets replaced by Conclave Arcana rewards which was even teased to happen soon on the last Town Hall, and as long as I ranked in the Top 25 players, I am guaranteed to get an 150,000 Glint from leaderboard rewards while to get that same amount in the Champion leaderboard, I need to be at least within the top 50 players, but if you look at the top 50 players, their rating goes beyond Champion 1, which will be difficult for me to achieve with my incomplete deck.

Overall, I was able to be at top 11 in the Diamond Leaderboard, and earn an additional 150,000 Glint, before the season ends.

Overall, I earned a total of 3,073.917 SPS last season or about $ 22.98 at the current price and a total of 476,104 Glint aside from the other tokens that I earned while playing the game.

On the other hand, I have spent 23,356.360 DEC or about $ 15.55 for renting SPS and cards as well as my entry fee for tournaments so deducting my expenses to my earnings, I was left with $ 7.43 in earnings. Glint purchase was mainly spent in buying card draws and major chest.
New Season Goals
As I said, my priority during the past few seasons was to earn more Glint, and that remains my goal this season, so that I can use it to buy more cards in the Glint shop, with the focus right now on the completion of my epic collection. And to do that, the first thing I did was to purchase 1 batch of Epic Draws, which already cost me 187,500 Glint. Unfortunately, I am 1 BCX short of the Arachne Weaver which is the only Epic card that I need. Since the second batch cost higher, I don't want to risk overspending my glint, so I will rather just spend my Glint on major draws and hope that I could get the cards I need while at the same time, getting more merits and energy.

Aside from that, I also entered 8 tournaments this season, costing me 2,250 DEC. It's more than what I spend on tournaments compared to last season, but hopefully, I could at least get into the minimum threshold to get tournament price and recoup my expenses.
Birth Month Power Up
The month of October was actually my birth month and I will turn 32 this year. I have nothing planed to celebrate my birthday, but I am going to watch Baby Metal live this upcoming October 8. Anyways, I will power up a total of 32 Hive in my account this time with the hopes that good thing come, moving forward.
And with that, I have completed my first power up for this month, and now have a total of 5,241.928 HP, which have already passed my initial goal this year of 3,500 HP.

Nice progress on your hive power and your SPS earnings this season. Hopefully you can get your last Arachne Weaver next season. We're running out of time before this reward set ends!
I also hope too, so I can proceed on maxing my soulbound legendaries and maybe have some Glint saved when the new rewards are released.
