My incredible victory over the legendary "Eternal Tofu" and a strong opponent!

Greetings to everyone on my beautiful battle today. I hope everyone is well and healthy.

Today, I am going to share with you a battle experience in the game Splinterlands, which is one of the best moments of my gaming life. Those of us who play regularly know that in Modern Ranked matches, sometimes we play with opponents whose card collection makes us think, "No, this match is not possible to win!"

Today's battle was exactly like that. I played with a very well-known and strong player in Splinterlands, @aubryd. He has a good reputation on this platform,m and his card collection is also great. To be honest, I was a little nervous when I saw his name.

Battle Setup and My Plan

The match was Modern Rank,e d and the rules were Standard (i.e. no additional changes to the game rules). Mana Cap was 33.

When I saw that my opponent,nt @aubryd, had one of the most expensive and powerful summoners in the game, Eternal Tofu, I thought that he would use this summoner in this battle as well. So I thought that this match was out of my hands. Because there was no way I could win this match. This is one of the most expensive summoners on our platform, which is very difficult for a new player like me to fight against. Eternal Tofu is a summoner that gives +2 Health to all monsters on his team and also gives special abilities like Thorns or Triage. It is not a small thing to face a team with so much life or health!

But I did not give up. I decided that since my opponent would use such a high-profile summoner, I would proceed with a simple strategy. I chose the Water element Marlai Singariel Summoner. My plan was to build a team based mainly on Magic Attack. Because my Summoner's magic attack increases by 1, and my increased magic attack can directly penetrate their armour and reduce their health or life. That was my strategy.

My team combination (lineup) and card introduction

I selected my cards very carefully. My card positioning was as follows:

1. Halfling Refugee:

I put this card in the first or number 1 position. The reason for putting this card in the front with only 1 mana is to use it as a 'meatshield' or bait. So that it can protect the expensive cards behind it by taking the opponent's early strong attacks.

2. Abyssal Elemental:

I put this card in the second position. Its magic attack and especially the 'Resurgence' ability were very important to me. Even if it dies, it will be revived again (Self-Resurrect) with 100% health and armour, r—which gave me an additional advantage.

3. Mystic Scaleweaver:

This card was in the third position. Its 'Slow' ability reduces the opponent's speed. Although the opponent used Eternal Tofu to increase health, it was a masterstroke to slow them down and take control of the match with this card.

4. Torrent Sniper:

I placed this range attack card in the fourth position. Its Snipe ability can target the opponent's magic or range cards in the back row. Being in the middle, it was quite safe.

5. Shock Trooper:

I placed it at the end or in the 5th position. It was my main weapon or 'glass cannon'. Its magic damage is 4, but with Marlai Singariel's buff, it becomes 5, which is deadly! Since its health is low, I placed it at the end so that it can survive longer and destroy the opponent. Although its 'Electrified' ability damages my team, I took this risk to win.

Round by Round Battle Description

Round 1:
As soon as the game started, I saw how strong @aubryd's team was. His team was as strong as a mountain with the extra health and Thorns from his Eternal Tofu. But my Shock Trooper and Mystic Scaleweaver's magic attacks pierced through their armour and started to hit them directly. My Marlai Singariel's +1 Magic Attack helped me take the lead early on.

Round 2:
This round turned the game around. I weakened his main tank with the combination of my Shock Trooper's High Voltage attack and Abyssal Elemental. Even though they had a lot of health because of his Summoner, my magic damage was more serious than his defence. I was like, "Yes, I can do it!"

Rounds 3 and 4:
In round 3, I completely destroyed his frontline. His powerful cards were eliminated one by one due to my card positioning and extra magic attacks. Especially with Eternal Tofu, his troops could not withstand my normal water card cannon. In round 4, the victory was confirmed.

The moment of victory

Finally, the unthinkable moment came! I won. My victory with this normal card against a strong opponent like @aubryd and one of the most expensive summoners in the game gave me great satisfaction.

I didn't just win points (RP) or SPS in this match, I won confidence. This battle proves that you can't always win with expensive cards; with the right strategy and courage, you can achieve the impossible with normal cards.

I have a lot of respect for my opponent, @aubry. It was a great experience to play with him. This was one of the best battles of my Splinterlands journey.

Thank you all for reading this little experience of mine. I bid you farewell today with the hope that you, too, will witness such thrilling moments in Splinterlands.

Happy Gaming
