Overview

Today I brought a Brawl battle, where I will fight for my Guild and also had one of the worst ruleset in the whole game, which I do not like at all, because it limits the available monster pool quite heavily. 😋

My upcoming Battle ruleset(s)

RulesetDescription
Tis but ScratchesAll units have the Cripple ability.
Little LeagueOnly Monsters & Summoners that cost 4 Mana or less may be used in battles.
Close RangeRanged attacks may be used in the first position in battles.

The mana cap for my next battle was only 41, which is more than enough for my needs, because of the Little League ruleset the maximum mana amount that I can spend is only 28, so even if I pick only four mana cost monsters and summoner the total would be only 28. 😊

The Tis but Scratches ruleset will give the Cripple ability to all the monsters on the battlefield, which means that if a monster hit its target they will reduce their maximum health by one. Low mana cost monsters usually have lower stats as well, so without high health this ability doesn't really change the gameplay.

I always like to play with the Close Range ruleset, because it will allow me and my opponent to use any kind of ranged attack monsters freely, because they will be able in the first position in case they have to. 😇

My lineup

Tarsa cost only four mana and her special ability is to increase the health and melee attack of her friendly monsters by one, which makes her an excellent choice for the Little League ruleset, where I have to pick low mana cost monsters. 😁
The Antoid Platoon cost four mana, which is the maximum I can pick and he is an excellent tank, because he has the Shield ability, which means that he will halves all the incoming melee and ranged attacks. 😇

The Xenith Monk cost four mana exactly and with the help from Tarsa he has +2 melee attack damage and nice amount of health to act as a tank. He has a very important ability, which is is Heal, so he will be able to restore some of its health in every round. 😉
The Scavo Firebolt is a nice ranged attack monster, because he has +2 ranged attack damage for only four mana. I just hope my opponent is not going to bring a monster with the Shield ability as his tank ot halves his damage just like I did. 🤞

Doctor Blight cost exactly four mana, so it was a no brainer to use him, because even though he has only +1 magic damage he has the Affliction ability, which will trigger at a 50% rate ad if it works his targets are not going to be able to Heal themselves or receive any Heal. 🤗
The Continuum Seer cost four mana as well and she cost one magic attack damage and quite a good speed to attack as quick as possible. Her only ability is the Backfire, which means if an enemy monster will miss her she will damage back two physical attack to them. 💪

The Kha'zi Conjurer has excellent stats compared to his mana cost, which is just only two and the reason for that that he has Burning (I wouldn't say ability, because it is a weakness), so every round from the second forward he will take two damage at the start of the round. 😚

My opponent brought the Obsidian who is an Earth Summoner and her power is to increase the magic attack of all of her friendly monsters, which is the strongest attack type in the game, because it will ignore the enemy armors and never miss. 😌

In the first round my team quickly killed their Xenith Monk, because my Kha'zi Conjurer was a bit quicker and had a huge amount of damage compared to his mana cost. Soon after my Antoid also killed their Fungus Fiend, who had the Martyr ability, which he activated and increased the stats of the monster behind him by one.

The second round started by the Kha'zi Conjurer damaging himself by two, but he still survived and was able to kill their Madcap Magus with a single attack. Sadly I also lost my loyal Antoid, but I owe him a huge thanks soaking up quite a lot of damage. 😇

Just before the round finished their Uraeus killed my Kha'zi, but at least my team was able to kill their new tank as well, so only two enemy monsters left in the opposite team.

It took three attack to my monsters to kill their Uraues, but they were quicker than him, so my team got rid of them easily.

Their was only one monster left in the enemy team, which was easy to kill and my team won this battle for me and for my guild. 😊

Battle Result

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

My strategy worked as I wanted, because my two tank got a lot of buff from Tarsa and more importantly my monsters were quicker than my opponent ones and in this battle it is very important to attack first and quickly kill the enemy monsters, which worked pretty well. 😇
