Social Media Challenge | Planning ahead is always worth the time! ππ
This week I brought a Wild Ranked battle, where I will try to take advantage of the Super Sneak ruleset, because all of the Melee attack enemy monsters will target my last monster in my backline. π

Ruleset | Description |
---|---|
Ferocity | All units have the Fury ability. |
Super Sneak | All units have the Sneak ability. |
The mana cap was 36, which is not that much, but it is enough to bring few key monsters in order to try to tackle the challenge of the Super Sneak ruleset. Even though only the Melee attack monsters will attack my last monster, there is a huge risk that my opponent will bring Tarsa from the Fire Splinter, because she is able to build an amazing Melee attack team. π
That is why my plan was to bring a backline protector and also bring some support for him to give him the chance to sustain as much as damage possible from the enemy team.
The Ferocity ruleset will give the Fury ability to all the monsters, which means if a monster has the Taunt ability all the other monsters will deal double damage against it, so it is better not to bring this kind of monsters. π
Octavia Shadowmeld

Octavia Shadowmeld is a special Death Summoner, because she will decrease the Health to all of her enemies by one, but most importantly she is able to bring one additional Gladiator monster into this battle, which is pretty insane. π
Kothripus Bayne

Bringing Kothripus Bayne was the first reason that I picked Octavia, because as a Gladiator monster he is only available to play withing the Guild battles. Luckily Octavia is able to bring one additional Gladiator monster, so I picked him because he has a huge amount of Health and Melee attack damage, which is always good, but he possess the Bloodlust ability as well, so whenever he kills his target he will increase all of his stats by one and that is crazy! π
Dark Arborist

I used the Dark Arborist, because there was a huge chance that my opponent will bring a full Melee attack lineup, so I wanted to take advantage of her Demoralize ability, which will decrease the Melee attack of all the enemy monsters by one as long as she is alive. She also has one Magic damage, so apart from her de-buff she is able to deal one Magic attack damage, which will ignore the enemy Armor. π€
Ravenhood Warden

The Ravenhood Warden is a Ranged attack monster and I had to bring him with a very good reason! He has +2 Ranged attack damage with two very powerful ability. The first is his Protect and the second is his Inspire abilitiy. This is just too good to miss out, because he will give +2 Armor and +1 Melee attack to his friendly monsters as long as he is alive. π
Arachne Weaver

The Arachne Weaver is a very interesting monster, because he can not heal himself, but he can heal others with his Corrupted Healing ability! Generally there is no healer in the Death Splinter, but Arachne is able to Heal 70% of his friendly and damaged monsters in the same round, but at the cost that they will lose one maximum Health. He also has +2 Magic damage, which makes him a very good damage dealer as well. π
Haunted Spider

I started to run out of mana, so I had to bring a low budget monster. Luckily the Death Splinter are full of them, so it was easy to pick the Haunted Spider, because he cost only three mana and two Ranged attack. As a low mana cost mosnter he doesn't have too much stats apart from his damage, so I needed to hide him in my backline really well. π
Will-O-Wisp

The Will-O-Wisp cost six mana and in return he has 10 Health, which is very good to sustain quite a lot of damage from the enemy Sneak attack monsters. He doesn't have any attack, but if he able to protect my backline it will worth bringing him. He also has the Flying ability, which will further help him to evade the enemy Melee attacks. π

My opponent brought Lobb Lowland who is an Earth Summoner and such he is able to bring some serious monster such as Quora, because he also has the ability to bring one additional Gladiator monster just like me. He also decreases the Speed of all of my monsters by one. π
In the first round not much happened, because my Will-O-Wisp did his job pretty well and my Kothripus almost killed their Thane Newsong, but he was blinded and he just missed that lethal blow. π
In the second round my tank and backline protector took some damage, but my Weaver healed them up pretty quickly at the cost of taking one maximum Health from them, while my team finally killed their tank.
Sadly my team missed a lot against their Halaran Huntress, but in the third round she couldn't do much against my Weaver and his Magic attack. π
As soon as she died their Thunderhoof Nomad fell into the first position and she was also a low budget monster, so my tank easily killed her and allowed him to activate his Bloodlust ability, which increased all of his stats by one!
In the fourth round their Queen Mycelia also died by my Weaver and their super powered Quora became their new tank. π
Luckily my team was still in full in numbers and they had plenty amount of damage to deal with the Queen and won the battle for me.
It is always difficult to play against Quora, but my strategy paid off to Heal my monsters in every round even if they lost one maximum Health. π

I hope it was informative and you liked it. π€
Super Sneak and Ferocity together can be so chaotic, but the way you balanced support, defense, and offense was π₯ Smart move using Will-O-Wisp as your backline wall, and that Arachne Weaver healing trade-off? Risky but clearly worth it! GG on handling Quora tooβnever easy.
Thank you so much for your comment and I could not agree more about what you said! The Arachne Weaver saved my a** many many times before especially in an Equalizer ruleset! π
Have a lovely day my friend! π
