Splinterlands 37th Season of Glint, Merits and SPS

The Splinterlands season ended earlier this week so I want to review my rewards and check up on some things in the game. After the free season of Wild ended, I went back to the modern format. It was rough as I lost quite a few matches, and life got busy. So I didn't get as many fights as I would have liked. I did get more than last season, though.

Season Rewards

I ended up with 11,077 Glint for last season, which is more than what I was getting before. I got to Silver II like usual in Modern, but it shows Gold I since I managed to move up my Frontier rankings by quite a bit. I didn't do modern as much as I found it more rewarding to go after Frontier as it will boost my Modern deck over time.

I did get two league advancement rewards in modern. Nothing great this time.

I played quite a bit in Foundation mode, and I was able to move up quite a bit. It's the highest league now, so I won't get any more chest advancement rewards, and I am not sure if stopping for two seasons will reset this.

This season, I chose not to use up any of my Glint because they announced the new reward set. It doesn't seem worth it to open now, and I prefer to save it up for the next set of reward cards.

Gladius Packs

I have collected 3 packs since the last time I opened packs. The number of packs is the same as last time. I didn't miss any brawls, and there were no cards to upgrade this time either.

SPS

My SPS rewards were higher than last time. It looks like my brawl and ranked battles rewards are up.

It doesn't look like the pool is coming back, so I might move the DEC out of my previous liquidity pool. I plan on staking all of my SPS I got from staking for a total of 155.676 SPS. The total SPS was around what I usually expected if I factor in the time difference. However, I am wondering why they have a multiplier for foundation as I don't think it matters there.

Conclusion

This season seems better than last time because I was able to earn more, and I did play quite a bit in Foundation. It's a bit too bad that it wasn't ranked as much in the rewards. However, I do feel that the foundational mode is more rewarding because I can see my cards going up. Maybe that will change when the card levels increase. I did miss a brawl, but the SPS and merits aren't too bad compared to last time. I wonder how things will go in the next season because I have felt myself doing fewer fights in Modern. Modern fights are just getting harder, but I think I will reach a barrier soon enough in Foundation. At that time, I guess I will have to pick between Modern and Foundation mode.
