Brawl Report #157: Almost got completely wiped

Splinterland Brawls are a guild event where you can earn merits and SPS. This post serves as a way for me to review how my fights went and as a reminder to sign up for the next brawl. I have missed brawls in the past and it hurts when Gladius cards can now be used in ranked battles using the soulbound summoners. 4 star brawls are rough as the teams tend to be stronger. I am still in the gold league gold foil matches, and it was decent this time around. It was fairly good overall this time as its the best result in the past few weeks.

Brawl Result

I chose the gold foil modern Brawl and got 42wins. This time, there were 1 free wins because 1 guild did not submit someone. My rewards for the brawl were 3,190 merits and 52.388 SPS in the 4-star category. My guild ranked 6th place out of the 9 guilds there. I choose to take the gold foil modern brawl because my guild usually doesn't fill all their spots, and I prefer to give my other guild members a chance at the brawls. I didn't do so great, but my guild did decently.

Brawl fights

There were 6 that I lost, and 1 that won. So, I included an idea of the match below and a few thoughts about it. My internet was having issues, and it went out for a few minutes when I started a match. So that fight ended up being a loss by default.

You can find the first match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. That healer in the back is hard to kill, and I wasn't expecting a low health monster as my opponent's tank.

You can find the second match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. I lost because my opponent just had a faster and stronger lineup. The damage and speed were just too much for me to overcome.

You can find the third match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. I wasn't expecting to see two gladiators.

You can find the fourth match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. The level was tough to overcome, and the damage advantage from his summoner just overpowered me.

You can find the fifth match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. Katrelba Gobson and a speed disadvantage is hard to overcome.

You can find the sixth match here. I won this match because I had the stronger lineup. I am glad that I had Failed summer as my tank with magic reflect. It tanked hits and damaged my opponents flying monster so I could win.

You can find the seventh match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. My opponent just had the faster and stronger lineup. It hurts when there is explosive weaponry too as all monsters had blast.

Conclusion

Doing 7 fights for 3,190 merits and 52.388 SPS is a good reward for the effort. I didn't do so great this time around, but my guild did decently. I guess it was bound to happen at some point because my gold foil deck isn't that strong. I am just glad that I won one actual win from a fight.
