Brawl Report #131 - A below average brawl but the rewards add up

Splinterland Brawls are a guild event where you can earn merits and SPS. This post serves as a way for me to review how my fights went and as a reminder to sign up for the next brawl. I missed the result screen of the previous brawl so I need to pay a bit more attention. My battle results were about average this time around.

Brawl fights

I won 2 fights and lost the other 4. Below is an idea of the match and a few thoughts about it, but it wasn't the best brawl. I am still in the bronze foil gold foil brawl spot. This means that I won't be at a level disadvantage and should expect more wins. I didn't do as well as I would like, but I think it was more or less around what I expected if I factor in the 1 or 2 free wins.

You can find the first match here. I lost this match because my opponent had the stronger lineup. Those magic monsters were tough to beat and my damage was too spread out.

You can find the second match here. I won this match because my opponent's attacks were too spread out. I was able to focus my damage and that let me take out monsters faster than my opponent.

You can find the third match here. I lost this match but this match was close. It's too bad that my monsters were a bit too slow because that bloodlust monster wrecked the rest of my lineup once it started to stack.

You can find the fourth match here. I won this match because I had the stronger lineup. It didn't play out the way that I thought things would, but I won because of life leech and the fatigue ended up getting me the win.

You can find the fifth match here. I lost this match because my opponent had the stronger lineup. It's tough to beat that duo melee and ranged monster when it is up front.

You can find the sixth match here. I lost this match because my opponent had the stronger lineup. It's tough to beat Mylor and the thorns when most of my lineup is melee.

Brawl Result

I chose the gold foil modern Brawl and I got 3 or 4 wins and 4 losses. There should have been one free win then I had 4 wins which means I won more than I lost. It was a decent brawl and my rewards for the brawl were 4,667 merits and 81.865 SPS in the 4-star category. I forgot to visit the guild and take a closer view of my rewards but I think we ranked in around 6th place. My guild didn't do as well but its weird to see the SPS about the same but the merits were lower by quite a bit.

Conclusion

The brawl was decent and the rewards do add up. It wasn't the best brawl, but I still think it was about half wins if I factor in the free wins. It's better than when I was in the gold foil gold league cap brawls.
