Hello, my dear praetorians. Today I want to tell you about my journey in #spliterlands, what was a challenge for me and how the new updates they have introduced to us are a nice change to help the newbies.
My travel challenge
Previously, I've told you a bit about how I got into #splinterlands, but I'd like to tell you a bit about some initial challenges and how I learned to overcome them (a bit).
Before entering this fantasy world, I tried to learn the basics about the rules and what the battle system was like. At first, I thought I would do very poorly in battles, so I wanted to learn enough to acquire the spellbook and rent my first cards to fight in the modern format.
Although the challenge for me was to enter a very wild Modern format compared to what we have today. My battles trying to get out of Bronze III were against accounts with top-level cards. Something that frustrated the hell out of me.
My hive searches to try to overcome this were about card types, how to form competitive decks (on a budget), summoner level, abilities, rules, and how the rewards worked to win some cards. I share with you some images that are the results of my searches through various publications.
At this point, I highlight the #hivenftgamelatino community for which I ended up entering the game. There are several members very active in #splinterlands and creating content about it. At the same time, there is a space in the discord, where the most experienced player shares his knowledge about the game every week.
Having this space available and the publications, I overcame a bit of frustration in the modern format and moved on to fight in the wild format. In this format, I started to improve my fighting strategy. I used mainly rented cards and was slowly building a decent rewards deck.
One of the cards that helped me a lot was Djinn Oshannus, which was a recommendation in the #hivenftgamelatino community.
My way of attacking at the beginning depended a lot on strength and speed, but as I learned more and more about the game and its rules, I became a player who tried to take advantage of every rule (Heavy Hitters and Up to Eleven) and some skills in particular (stun, affliction, poison, ambush and thorns).
Campaign mode
Recently, the campaign mode was launched and with it came a series of tutorials or chapters that teach new players about every aspect of the game and at the same time, they acquire some cards that will help them to take their first steps in the qualifying battles.
It is something very good, that I would have liked to have at the time I entered and not have sometimes crazy battles, where I did not know why I could win or lose.
This mode takes little time, but it's a great step for newcomers to learn the basics and get hooked on the game.
Conclusion and Recommendations
As of today, #splinterlands already has some tools to help new players overcome some challenges they may have in the qualifier battles in the modern format, something that shows an interest on the part of the team in getting more players to come and stay.
There are some things that, for the more experienced players, should be improved soon, but for me, they are doing a good job.
Now, you have the campaign mode and economic packs of the most recent set. But I recommend the following to new players:
Take the time to explore the publications, you will always find very good creators and recent publications where you will find battles, tutorials, and detailed explanations of the rules or skills.

Hola, mis queridos pretorianos. El día de hoy quiero hablarles de mi viaje en #spliterlands, lo que fue un reto para mí y como las nuevas actualizaciones que nos han presentado son un buen cambio para ayudar a los nuevos.
Mi reto en el viaje
Anteriormente, he contado un poco de como llegue a #splinterlands, pero me gustaría contarles un poco de algunos retos iniciales y como fui aprendiendo a superarlos (un poco).
Antes de ingresar a este mundo de fantasía, intente aprender lo básico sobre las reglas y como era el sistema de batalla. Al principio pensaba que me iba a ir muy mal en las batallas y por esto quería aprender lo suficiente, para adquirir el libro de hechizos y alquilar mis primeras cartas para luchar en el formato moderno.
Aunque el reto para mí fue ingresar a un formato moderno muy salvaje a comparación con el que tenemos hoy en día. Mis batallas intentando salir de Bronce III era contra cuentas con cartas al máximo nivel. Algo que me frustraba muchísimo.
Mis búsquedas en hive para intentar superar esto eran sobre los tipos de cartas, como formar mazos competitivos (ajustados a un presupuesto), nivel de los invocadores, habilidades, reglas y como funcionaba las recompensas para ganar algunas cartas. Les comparto algunas imágenes donde están mis búsquedas de algunas publicaciones.
En este punto resalto a la comunidad de #hivenftgamelatino por la cual termine entrando al juego. Hay varios miembros muy activos en #splinterlands y creando contenido sobre este, a la vez se posee un espacio en el discord, donde el jugador con más experiencia comparte su conocimiento sobre el juego cada semana.
Al tener este espacio disponible y las publicaciones, supere un poco la frustración en el formato moderno y pase a luchar en el formato salvaje. En este formato comencé ir mejorando en mi estrategia de lucha, usaba principalmente cartas rentadas e iba construyendo de a poco un mazo rewards decente.
Una de las cartas que me ayudo mucho fue Djinn Oshannus, la cual fue una recomendación en la comunidad #hivenftgamelatino.
Modo campaña
Recientemente, se lanzó el modo campaña y con esto llego una serie de tutoriales o capítulos que le enseñan a los nuevos jugadores sobre cada aspecto del juego y a la vez van adquiriendo algunas cartas que les servirán para dar los primeros pasos en las batallas clasificatorias.
Es algo muy bueno, que me hubiera gustado tener en el momento que ingrese y no tener en ocasiones batallas a loco, donde no sabía por qué podía ganar o perder.
Este modo lleva poco tiempo, pero es un gran paso para que los nuevos puedan aprender lo básico y engancharse con el juego.
Conclusión y Recomendaciones
Al día de hoy #splinterlands ya posee algunas herramientas para ayudar a los nuevos jugadores a superar algunos retos que puedan tener en las batallas clasificatorias en el formato moderno, algo que demuestra un interés por parte del equipo en que más jugadores lleguen y se queden.
Hay algunas cosas que para los más experimentados jugadores debe ser mejorado pronto, pero para mí están haciendo un buen trabajo.
Ahora bien, se cuenta con el modo campaña y packs económicos del set más reciente. Pero les recomiendo a los nuevos lo siguiente:
Tómense el tiempo de explorar las publicaciones, siempre encontraran muy buenos creadores y publicaciones recientes donde encontraran batallas, tutoriales y explicaciones detalladas de las reglas o habilidades.
Si desean pasarse por una comunidad de habla hispana donde se aborda un poco del juego y en ocasiones se desarrollan algunos torneos amistosos para ir mejorando. Los invito a #latabernadebulkathos en #hivenftgamelatino.
