Beginner's Guide: How to find a guild and participate in clan battles - Community engagement challenge: : Tutorials and Tips from the Community [Eng/Esp]
Greetings, dear Splinterlands and Hivers community! This week, in the Community Engagement Challenge, we're exploring the role of clans in Splinterlands, the benefits they bring to other aspects of the game, such as ranked play, the different aspects of clans, how they grow, and finally, guild battles as a true P2E experience.

Esta semana en la iniciativa del community engagement challenge vamos a explorar la función de los clanes en Splinterlands, las ventajas que ello conlleva en otros aspectos del juego como ranked, los distintos apartados del clan, como es su crecimiento y finalmente las batallas de gremios como una verdadera experiencia P2E.
If you're just starting out in Splinterlands and already know the basic mechanics of the game, the first thing you should think about is finding a clan, as this will allow you to expand your knowledge of the game, share strategies, receive help from other members, such as card delegation or SPS, to grow in the game, and improve your rewards. So, as you can see, this is a crucial step if you want to thrive in this project. But first, let's see how to do it. We'll start in the main menu, the Play tab, and go to the Guild Brawls option.
Si estas comenzando en Splinterlands y ya conoces las mecánicas básicas del juego, lo primero en lo que debes pensar es en buscar un clan ya que esto te va a permitir ampliar tu conocimiento sobre el juego, compartir estrategias, recibir ayuda de otros miembros como delegación de cartas o sps para crecer en el juego y mejorar tus recompensas. Entonces, como puedes ver es un paso crucial si quieres prosperar en este proyecto, pero primero veamos como hacerlo, empezamos en el menú principal, la pestaña Play y vamos donde aparece la opción Guild Brawls.
Once there, you'll see a list of the main clans available in the game. By default, they're organized by clan level, but the filters above allow you to locate clans by language, invitation, or the option I recommend: open. This is best when you're just starting out; open clans generally don't have high entry requirements.
Una vez alli tendremos una lista de los principales clanes disponibles en el juego, por defecto están organizados por nivel de clan pero los filtros superiores te permiten ubicar clanes por lenguaje, invitación o la opción que yo recomiendo, abierto. Es lo mejor cuando estas empezando, por lo general un clan abierto no tiene requisitos de entrada tan elevados para incorporarse.
The first thing we'll see when we're accepted into the clan is that there are several buildings that offer advantages in ranked play and guild battles. In short, these are the Hall, which allows you to rank your clan on the leaderboard and increase the number of clan members; the Lodge, which measures your reputation and dedication in the game, resulting in an increase in the percentage of glints you earn per victory in ranked mode and discounts in the store. Then we have the Arena, which is related to guild battles. I'll expand on this later, but in short, the higher the arena tier, the more battles you'll unlock, and the better the rewards at the end of each guild battle. We continue with the Barracks, which allows us to unlock advantages in Guild Battles, such as blocking certain cards, increasing your base mana limit, or slowing down the opposing team. Finally, the Store allows us to purchase items with Guild Battle rewards, but I'll go into more detail on this later.
Lo primero que veremos al ser aceptados en el clan es que existen una serie de edificios que ofrecen ventajas dentro del juego ranked y en las batallas de gremios. En resumen son el Hall que te permite rankear tu clan en la tabla clasificatoria y aumentar el número de miembros en el clan, el Lodge que es una medida de tu reputación y dedicación en el juego que se traduce en un incremento del % de glints que ganas por victoria en el modo ranked y descuentos en la tienda. Luego tenemos la arena que esta relacionado con las batallas de gremios, más adelante me extenderé aquí pero en resumen mientras más alto sea el tier de la arena más batallas desbloquearas y mejores serán las recompensas al final de cada batalla de gremios. Seguimos con el cuartel que nos permite desbloquear ventajas en las batallas de gremios como bloquear ciertas cartas, aumentar tu limite de mana base o reducir la velocidad del equipo contrario. Por último, Store nos permite comprar objetos con las recompensas de las batallas de clanes pero me extenderé en esto más adelante.
All of these buildings require investment to level up. This is achieved through Guild Points or GP, which we can purchase with Dec or Credits at a rate of 1 GP per 1 Dec or 1 Credit. The advantage of this system is that these GPs are tied to your account, and you can contribute them to the clan. If you later want to change clans, you can take most of your GP with you or simply donate them to the clan. Overall, this is a fairly efficient way to manage the growth of a guild, as a result of the joint efforts of each clan member.
Todos estos edificios necesitan inversión para subirse de nivel, esto se logra mediante los puntos de gremios o GP que podemos comprar con Dec o créditos a una tasa de 1 Gp por 1Dec o 1 Crédito. La ventaja de este sistema es que esos GP quedan enlazados a tu cuenta y puedes aportarlos al clan y si más adelante quieres cambiarte de clan, puedes irte con la mayor parte de tus GP o simplemente puedes donarlo al clan. En general esta es una forma bastante eficiente de gestionar el crecimiento de un gremio como el esfuerzo conjunto de cada miembro del clan.
Guild Battles/Batallas de Gremios
Guild battles take place every 5 days on average: 2 days of preparation, another 2 days for battles, and 1 day of rest after the Brawls, where you can see your guild's performance. Let's start with the first 48 hours of preparation. During this time, guild members organize to choose who will fight in the different battles, which vary by league type, card edition, and whether they are regular or gold foil. It doesn't seem like it, but this organizational step takes some time, as some members may not have a deck strong enough for a particular guild.
Las batallas de gremios se realizan cada 5 días en promedio, 2 días de preparación, otros 2 días donde se realizan las batallas y 1 día de descanso después de la Brawls donde puedes ver el desempeño de tu clan. Comencemos con las primeras 48 horas de preparación, en este tiempo los miembros del clan se organizan para escoger quienes lucharan en las distintas batallas que varían en el tipo de liga, las ediciones de cartas y también si son con lámina regular o dorada. No lo parece este paso de organización lleva cierto tiempo ya que algunos miembros puede que no tengas un mazo lo suficiente robusto para una fray en particular.
Generally, frays are assigned to battles where you have a good win rate. So, once the first 48 hours have passed, you can start entering each battle. The battles may vary. In this example, I'm sharing with you, I had 6 battles in the Gold League Fray, using all the cards. This is one of the frays where I have the best results, and I'm practically locked into it. When I enter the battle, I can see the rulesets, the mana limit, and which Splinters I can use. It's also noticeable in the left panel that I'm in the enemy arena, which means my opponent can use tactics they gain by leveling up their barracks, such as blocking specific archons or slowing me down on the battlefield. I'm sharing the battle with the link in the image below.
Por lo general las fray se asignan en batallas donde tienes una buena taza de victorias. Así, una vez pasadas las primeras 48 horas puedes comenzar a introducir cada batalla, las cueles pueden variar, en este ejemplo que te comparto me tocaron 6 batallas que son en la Fray de la liga de oro usando todas las cartas. Esta es una de las frays donde mejor tengo resultados y prácticamente estoy fijo en ella, cuando introduzco la batalla puedo ver las rulesets, el limite de mana y cuales splinter puedo usar. También se observa en el panel de la izquierda que estoy en arena enemiga, eso significa que mi oponente puede usar tácticas que consigue al subir de nivel su barraca como bloquear arcontes específicos o reducir mi velocidad en el campo de batalla. Results & Rewards/Resultados & Recompensas
After 48 hours of the clan tournament, each clan's wins vs. losses are tallied to place them in the ranking. Wins count as 3 points and losses count as 0 for each Guild. When everything is tallied, the top 3 positions receive very good rewards, but in general, all Brawl participants receive some rewards. In my last brawl, which was 48 hours ago, I had 5 wins out of 6 active battles. A good performance that, combined with the efforts of the rest of the clan, earned us 1st place in this guild battle!
Pasadas las 48 horas del torneo de clanes se contabilizan las derrotas vs victorias de cada clan para ubicarlos en el ranking, las victorias cuentan como 3 puntos y las derrotas 0 para cada Fray. Cuando se contabiliza todo las 3 primeras posiciones reciben muy buenas recompensas pero en general todos los participantes en la Brawl se llevan algo de recompensas. En mi última brawl que fue hace 48 horas con 5 victorias de 6 batallas activas, un buen desempeño que sumado al esfuerzo del resto del clan nos valió el 1er lugar en esta batalla de gremios!

The rewards for participating in a brawl are expressed in two tokens: one in SPS, which is the game's governance token and goes directly to the stake, and the other in Merits, which is the token that will allow us to purchase items in the guild store, as I mentioned earlier. There we can buy Gladius cases, which are packs of gladiator cards, the possibility of spying on our opponents' previous battles, and two types of stones: bloodstones and powerstones, which increase our chances of getting legendary or gold-foil gladiator cards.
Las recompensas al participar en una brawl se expresa en 2 tokens: uno en sps que es el token de gobernanza del juego y va directo al stake y el otro en méritos, que es el token que nos va a permitir comprar objetos en la tienda del gremio que te comente anteriormente. Alli podremos comprar Gladius cases que son paquetes de cartas gladiadoras, la posibilidad de espiar las batallas anteriores de nuestros oponentes y 2 tipos de piedra: bloodstones y powerstones, que aumentan nuestras posibilidades de conseguir cartas gladiadoras legendarias o de lámina dorada.
Gladiator cards/Cartas Gladiadoras
If you looked at the battle I shared with you, you'll see that there was a card that increased all its stats every time it killed its target. These are gladiator cards. They cannot be obtained through trading or buying them on the market. They can only be purchased with the merits you earn in brawls. Although they could also be obtained by selling glints, the only option available is to buy packs of these cards if you are associated with a clan. The advantage of these cards is their Bloodlust ability, which allows them to improve their stats as they eliminate targets.
Si te fijaste en la batalla que te compartí verás que había una carta que cada vez que daba de baja a su objetivo aumentaba todas sus estadísticas, esas son las cartas gladiadoras, no pueden obtenerse por intercambio o comprando en el mercado, solo pueden comprarse con los méritos que ganas en las brawls y aunque también podrían obtenerse vendiendo glints, la posibilidad de comprar un paquetes de estas cartas es si estas asociado a un clan. La ventaja que tienen estas cartas es su habilidad Bloodlust, que le permite mejorar sus estadísticas al ir eliminando objetivos.
Each pack of gladiator cards costs 2000 merits, if your clan is in a high tier you can also buy the stones to increase your chances of getting golden/legendary cards, the blood ones cost 55 merits and the power ones 74. As a demonstration since I got almost 14K merits in my last Brawl, I will open 3 packs of these cards so you can see what they are like and try my luck.
Cada paquete de cartas gladiadoras cuesta 2000 méritos, si tu clan se encuentra en un tier alto puedes comprar también las piedras para aumentar tus posibilidades de cartas doradas/legendarias, las de sangre cuestan 55 méritos y las de poder 74. Como demostración ya que obtuve casi 14K de méritos en mi ultima Brawl, abriré 3 packs de estas cartas para que veas como son y así pruebo mi suerte.

One epic card, and the rest are common and rare. I use this particular epic card very frequently because of its high damage and speed, its ability to attack from second position, and its good defense. We're just one copy away from level 4, an important goal because it learns the Inspire ability, which increases the melee damage of all my units on the battlefield.
Una carta épica y el resto comunes y raras. Esta carta épica en particular la uso con gran frecuencia por su alto daño y velocidad, puede atacar desde la segunda posición y tiene una buena cantidad de defensa. Quedamos a 1 copia para llevarla a nivel 4, una meta importante porque aprende la habilidad Inspire que incrementa el daño melé de todas mis unidades en el campo de batalla.
