Hello everyone. this time I will be participating in this Splinterlands Challenge, where I will be showing you a battle in the modern ranked league, one of which, only units with magic attack can be summoned.

First, let's talk a little bit about Void Dragon, one of the chaos dragon units that is very good against magic units and one of the units I will be using this battle.

Source

Void Dragon only has a magic attack power of 2, but has good speed and health, which makes it often attack first and have a better chance of dodging attacks. Also, this dragon has 3 abilities.

Void Dragon, like many dragons, has the FLYING ability, which allows it to have a 25% extra chance to evade melee and ranged attacks from non-flying units.

It also has the VOID ability, which allows it to take 50% less damage (rounded up) from magic attacks.

And at level 3, it gains the PHASE ability, whichs allows it to evade magic attacks as if they were melee or ranged attacks. Because of this, it is very difficult to defeat this unit by normal attacks.

Thanks to its speed and also its abilities against magic attacks, it is really a challenge to manage to attack her with any type of attack but not impossible.

WEAKNESSES

Void dragon may be very fast, but there are some effects that are specifically made for units like this dragon, making its high speed a weakness.

Units with the TRUE STRIKE ability cannot miss any attack, so no matter how fast the Void Dragon is, those units will have no trouble attacking it. Some of them are:

The REVERSE SPEED modifier is excellent against this dragon, as the name suggests, the more speed the units have the worse, they will attack last and will have much less chance of evading attacks.

HOW TO OBTAIN

Available on the Market. At the time of writing this post, a max level Void Dragon costs $6.78 (each BCX $0.61) and a level 1 costs $0.95.

And there are two max gold foil Void Dragon, each costing $99.00 (each BCX $24.75), and a level 2 golden for $20. It's great that this card has a high value.

BATTLE

There are three modifiers active this time. The first is the Wands Out modifier, which only allows magic units to be summoned to the battlefield. Then the Reverse Speed modifier, will make all high speed units attack last, and those with lower speed will attack first. Lastly, all summoners will have their abilities negated due to the Silenced Summoners modifier.

I decided to choose Quix the Devious as my summoner, to allow me to use dragon units, I also decided to play with earth units that in my opinion have great resources against magic.

This time, even if the Reverse Speed modifier is active, I still wanted to play Void Dragon, perhaps it will attack last but it will still take less damage from magic attacks, so it's still pretty good.

Since I know that my magic units will have their attack reduced due to enemy abilities, I decided to play in the second position Chaos Adjutant, because it can attack randomly and has the poison ability, so it has a 50% chance to poison enemy units, making them lose 2 health points at the start of each turn.

Then, to reduce the magic attack of enemy units, I played Goblin Psychic, which can also health my frontline unit each turn. Additionally, it has a 50% chance to apply Afflicition (unit cannot be healed) and 100% chance to apply Dispel (unit lose its positive buffs) to the enemy units.

Doctor Blight in the fourth position, who can also apply affliction and posion through its attacks. In addition, while this unit is alive, all enemy units lose -1 health. And when any unit is defeated, Doctor gains +1 max health. Additionally, this card cannot be attacked directly thanks to its Camouflage ability.

Then in the fifth and sixth position, I played Spirit Hoarder and Djinn Biljka respectively. The Spirit can heal a backline ally unit each turn, and can also apply Dispel. Also, enemy units will be affected by the Blind ability, giving them a 15% chance to miss their attacks.

Finally, Djinn Biljka, like Doctor Blight, has the Camouflage and the Weaken abilities on its own. Also, it has the Void ability, taking less damage from magic attacks.

In the first round, both frontline untis of each side were damaged, but neither was defeated.

In the second round, Doctor Blight defeats the enemy Blackmoor Nymph. Then, my Djinn Biljka defeats the enemy Bilkja. After that, the enemy Chaos Adjutant poisons my Chaos Dragon. And my Chaos Adjuntant manages to poison the enemy Olivia. Near the end of the turn, Olivia defeats my Spirit Hoarder.

In the third round, my Void Dragon defeats the enemy Chaos Adjutant.

In the fourth round, Doctor Blight defeats the enemy Queen Mycelia. And my Chaos Adjutant manages to poison the enemy Goblin Psychic. After that, the enemy Olivia of the Brook destroys my Void Dragon.

In the fifth round, the poison effect defeats the enemy Goblin Psychic. And Olivia is defeated by my Goblin, ending the battle.

Full Battle

This time, both my opponent and I used three of the same units, but thanks to my Void dragon in the frontline position, which had the Void ability that allowed it to take less damage from magic attacks, it gave me a huge advantage in protecting my other units.

My opponent didn't use a Void unit with the exception of his Djinn Biljka , but it only had 1 health so it was defeated pretty quickly. And he also summoned Olivia of the Brook, who is great at copying abilities each turn, but this time it was not enough to defeat my units.

My Spirit Hoarder and Void Dragon were defeatd by Olivia, but my other units took revenge and defeat her in the fifth round, ending the battle. This time four units survived this battle.

That's all for now guys, if you haven't played Splinterlands yet, you can join with my referral link. See you on the battlefield!
